As far as capital punishment goes, do you think that the punishment should suit the crime? Some people kill several people in brutal ways, then get off easy with a lethal injection to end their own life. Does this seem fair to you? Do you have any other comments about capital punishment?

Well, most people who commit brutal crimes got fucked up as children, so I don't think it's right to make them pay an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, when their destiny eventually plays out in the way it must for a screwed-up mind. What good does it possibly do to torture these people before executing them? It's a crazy way to think. All based on revenge. The desire for revenge is not one humans should be proud of or promote. Let these poor bastards die peacefully and allow God to deal with them. If God wants them to suffer, he can always deny them heaven and send them back to our fine planet for an eternity!

There is to much crime in the United States as far as I am concerned. Many other countries still have the "eye for an eye" approach to punishment. Not that I am saying that is the course to take but to a degree the punishment should fit the crime. It would make someone think before they actually went through with killing someone, it might even help with the gang problem here. Many gang members kill someone without worrying about the consequenses of their actions. Imagine if there were indeed serious ones.

i feel that for those who are real murderers, not just accidental killers, there should be a whole seperate system for them. I feel that there should be a more arena style punishment. Im being serious. If all the murderers were put together in a large enclosed arena, small melee weapons, and a option of living. Knowing that every other person in the room was a cold blooded killer trying to make it out alive, and your standing in the way. I would really hate to be in someones shoes at that moment. Honestly think on it.

I do believe the punishment should fit the crime. I really don't care how there life ends just do it. I don't think it is right to let someone just set in jail waiting for apeals.

I feel as if the punishment should reflect the crime. If you murder and rape people than you punishment should be slow and painful. i think the lethal injection isn't fair enogh in some cases. I don't think the inmates should sit on death rowe for years and years, if they commited the crime than lets give them what they deserve. They shouldn't sit in their and waste tax payers money.

I think that the punishment should suit the crime. If someone intentionally kills someone, then they should have to suffer. It is not fair when they get off easy when they commit such a horrible crime as murder.

I think the death penalty should be legal in every state, and should happen more often. They need to be revised and made more strict....people wont commit a crime if they NO FOR FACT if they get cuaght they die....and it should be the same law in all 50 states with the death penalty!!

I may be the only person in the world that think this, but I think that the crime should as humanely as possible suit the crime. If a man rapes and kills a 12 year old girl,I'm not saying rape him, but if he took a person's life then he should have his life taken away. Lethal injection in my opinion is the only real humane way to terminate someones life. I say this because most killers kill in a horible way and to do the same would be no better then them. I don't think that it is getting off easy by being lethally injected. Death is horrible and no one wants to die, but having a person die for their crime is in no way getting off easy. Getting off easy for killing someone in a horriible thing, and this is something that society needs to watch out for.To many men are in jail for killing people in unforgetable ways, but they just sit in a sell for the rest of their life. To me that is not far, most of the jails out there are better the places that they came from.I'm not saying kill everyone that killed someone, sometimes it can be a accident, like something went wrong in a robbery. Sure they should be put in jail for robbing and killing someone, but injecting them is a little far fetch. If someone killed my mom I would want them dead and the courts and jury should understnad that. Killers should not get a slap on the hand. Killers should go where they should be and that the bottom line.

Yes i believe the punishment should fit the crime. An eye for an eye. If a killer were to torture victims then kill them. Then i believe we should torture them then kill them, in about the same way they tortured their victims. Although to think about that it would bring us down to that level, so i believe lethal injection or electric chair are the better choice, or maybe a hanging or firing squad would be better.

I think that capital punishment in general is wrong. It's one of our country's biggest issues because it costs soo much. We've already banned the death penalty once in the 60's and then brought it back. If the country can't make up their mind then why should we still have it. I also don't think it's right that if they try to kill you and it doens't work the first time they recover you just to kill you again in about 2 weeks. I think we should get rid of capital punishment as a whole.

I agree with capital punishment. Maybe if you know that stealing would get your hand cut off, people would keep their hands to thenselves. This would help with sexual predators: who keep offending, cut it off and that ends the problem.

capital punishment should be abolished in hte united states. capital punishment is a not humain. taking another persons life becasue they killed someone is like reverting back to babaloion times when an eye for an eye was the law of the land. i think that we should rise above the eye for an eye policy. capital punishment should be relace with life without porol. there are also too many peroblems with capital punishment. some people get off when they kill someone. if capital punishment is going to be ine effect then it should be more equal around the board. and not just for some people.

I don't think that a murderer who gets put to death by leathal injection is getting off easy. I don't think the death penalty should exist at all. Sure, it would free up a lot of jail space and maybe save some tax dollars, but two wrongs don't make a right. If we kill them, then we are no better then they are. Instead, I think prisions should get rid of a lot of the conveniences they now have. Get rid of all of the t.v.s and weightlifting equipment. They shouldn't have time to watch t.v. and if they want to work out they can run around their court yard for a while.

Good Luck,

I think that capital punisment is just an eye for an eye. they just need to be careful and make sure that they kill the right person.DNA has freed a lot of people on death row so be very careful.
