Do you think our government is hiding major secrets from us? Do you think some conspiracy theories are true?
For example: Do you think the government caused 9/11 to happen to scare us? (see link) http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/> (watch both videos "Addendum"and "Zeitgeist-The Movie")
Do you think George Bush was using related contexts during his presidency from the Nazi party in WW2? (see links) http://naomiwolf.org/ and Youtube- search: Naomi Wolf-"The End of America" (watch all parts for full video)

Not to be a Natalie Maines, but do you really think Bush was smart enough to do that?
9/11 was a very tragic event, but I don't think our government caused it. People watch a couple of Hollywood produced movies and decide they are experts about what is really happening in our nation.
Yes, I believe that we are not read in on a lot of top secret info from the government, but I sleep a lot better not knowing things that could have happened had we not had the C.I.A or F.B.I. Just remember that if you are not happy with your elected officials, you can change them with a vote!

I agree with Jodi on this one. I think that the government does hide some things from us just for the fact that if people found out then this country would go into total chaos. Now I dont think that 9/11 was done by our own government just for the fact. Why would someone do that to thier own country. Killing all those people? How could someone do that and feel that they did something that was good for the country.

I do think the government hides things from us. For our own good though. If we really needed to know I believe they would tell us. But some people in the US would go nuts if we were told all the secrets. I don't think the government caused 9/11. That's so dumb. To scare us? Of course not. People were killed, and those families were hurt by this happening to their loved ones. What reason do they have for scaring us? None. I have had a random person ask me this same question before. I thought they were crazy for even thinking it. He seemed mad that I didn't agree, but oh well he's crazy.

I do believe that the government hides things from us. Sometimes to cover its own mistakes and sometimes to protect us. But I know that nobody is perfect and mistakes have been made by every president, that has gotten us to the point that we are at now. I know that Bush couldn't of had anything to do with 9/11 because he loves this country and its people. I feel that people have blamed many things on Bush that weren't his fault. the president goes by what others in the government tell him. I think that if we were to look at what Bush and his administration did during Bush's term we might see some interesting things that look like something that their not. If your looking for something that isn't really there it is very likely that you will see it. It is all right to question the government and the president, but if you keep on looking for mistakes or for them to screw up on something you will see it weather or not it is there.

I agree with Jodi totally on this one. If we knew all the stuff that goes on in the country that the government takes care of, we wouldn't leave the safety of our beds. You can't live your life in fear, it will consume you.
I don't think there is any way that former President Bush had anything to do with 9/11. That was a horrible event in the history of mankind and it changed us as a nation: it changed the world. I think that the people who came up with that theory were just out to make a name for themselves.

Yes, I know that are government is hiding things from us, everyone hides things from people. But nothing that we really need to know. And I know that are government had nothing to do with 9/11! Why would they??

I do think that the Government is hiding things from us and should come out and explain what the are. We as a nation need to know certain things that our government has been hiding from us. They hide certain things from us, because they dont want our country to be afraid of what is out there. they want people to feel safe in their homes at night. I strongly dont believe that 9/11 was done by our government, the evidence just doesnt add up.
Nolan
yes the government hides things from us, what is areia 51? do you think that they would tell you what was in there if you asked? no. i dont believe that they faked the moon landing or caused 911 or anything. but yes i do believe that the government does hide things from people.

I agree the government does hid things from us all the time. Nobody even the government tells all of the secrets. I don't believe our government had anything to do with the 9/11 attacks. I would hope that our government wouldn't have had all of those people killed. But, I do believe that the government keeping a lot of things from us in their mind is protecting us.
Anita Freeman
I dont know anything about this. I actually dont wanna get started talking about the whole 9/11. But sadly I think it was a set up to accuse and put people down like me (Middle East) among others. Because regardless of what we do or where we go we get accused or disrespected as a TERRORIST!! I dnt know much else.

I don't believe that the government is doing certain events to try to scare us but I do think their are lots of things they will try and cover to either protect the nation from being scared of it or just that their is some unknown reason for them to keep it from us. There is not one thing in my mind that would lead me to believe that the government had anything to do with 9/11. Hundreds of people died on 9/11 and I just refuse to even think that this is a country that would kill its' own citizens and start a war for nothing
Andy Dodge
I do think the gov has secrets but they are only to protect us. No 9/11 didnt happen to scare us, why kill a bunch of americans i do not believe that at all. The secrets they have are ones that are for our own good as a country, where if they got out things would go terribly wrong.
K.J. Picard (9:00)
I do believe the government hides things from us why not. You can't tell people every secret than people would be going crazy and the world would be nuts. I don't see anything wrong with hiding things. Some stuff you're better off not knowing about.
Kasha Topps
I do believe in conspiracy theories, not all but some I think are true. Yes I think the Government hides a lot from us. I think everything that happens is all about money and what they can get out of us, but that's just my opinion. I don't know a lot about politics but what I do know and understand I don't like so much.

No, I don't think the government is hiding major secrets. In think they have to keep somethings confidential so that people's privacy remains respected, but I don't think there are any hush-hush secret missions going on that we don't know about. Word would leak out if there were. When the Bush administration was torturing prisoners, they kept it a secret from the American people, but within 2 years or so, the media got wind of it, and the whole ugly truth came out. I think the same thing would happen if the government were to try hide any terrible secrets, such as being behind the 9/11 terrorist acts. Today there are simply too many people to rat you out toward achieving their own agenda.
I don't know the Zeitgeist movie at all, but I like what Naomi Wolf has to say because she reminds us that covert operations do happen in this country--but in my opinion they are never absolutely covert for very long. The media is too strong, and the truth comes out. Plus I see our current president as an upstanding dude, out for the best for everyone, if that's possible. Shame on Bush and Cheney. I hope they get hemorrhoids on their rich white asses!

I do think that the government does keep somethings from us. I believe they keep somethings from us, because they know that if they would tell us the United States would go into chaos.
