Abortion is another one of those big conflicts in the world. I really am not sure if it should be legal or not, but i really think it should depend on your situation. If your young and you get pregnant because you like to mess around and you dont want to have the baby so you want an abortion because you still want to go clubbing and hang out with you friends then no you should not be able to get an abortion. On the other hand if you get rapped or something of that sort then yes you should be able to get and abortion. You had no control over what happened to you, why bring a baby into the world when its wasnt your fault and you cant take care of it. So i guess you could say abortion is good in some situations and not so good in other situations. Just like everything else in the world it has its ups and downs.

Abortion is right now a pro-chose issue and a very big issue in todays society. To say it is illegal or it is illegal is hard to say. There is two points or more every view. If one person said it was illegal than you can just as easily find someone who will say that it is legal. To me though, I feel that abortion is illegal no matter what stage baby is in, you are killing a human being. It is a crime against nature and against humanity. It maybe the right of the mothers to get a abortion, but I think that they made the chose to have unprotected sex in the first place and must take the responsiblity of raising the kid. Now for victims of rape is a different question, they are victims, not willing participants. Though to me I still don't think it is right to have a abortion, I know I am a guy and probably will never have any idea what its like to make the desicion, this is why I feel this way about raped victims getting a abortion. Women pregant should always care for the baby no matter what the situation, for if the mother hangs in there, they maybe able to right the wrongs and be able to raise a child with no connections to the the wrongs committed against the mother. It maybe a finicial problem, you can always put the baby up for adoption. Like I said before and I am willing to admit that I do not understand what it is like for ladies to go throught all this, but I do know that what people should love their baby no matter the consequences.

i dont think abortion should be illegal. It could help out so many teens that basically ruin their lives because of having children too early. It could be worse, we could have the "youth in asia" thing over here. How terrible would that be to have to many kids, and the government would find out and take away the extras. To me that would be worse then abortions. then you'd also have to look at rape victims. What would a girl do if she was raped, and became pregnant. I know she wouldnt want to have that baby from someone she didnt even know. I wouldnt....It is a touchy situation, and should have a lot of time spent reviewing it. I dont think any polition would have the guts to have the final say on the situation. It could be carear suicide.

I think that abortion should not be illegal in the United States. I dont think that abortion is killing a baby. Alot of times abortion is used to prevent a young woman from having a baby because she is not ready for the responsibility for a baby. I think that abortion is a great thing. If you are not ready for the responsibility and then you should not have the baby. You could screw the babies life up. It would be better to have an abortion then have a screwed up baby.

I am definately 100% against abortion. I believe that from the moment of conception that the baby in the mother's womb is a living human and not just a mass of tissue. No matter what the situation i believe that abortion should be illegal, even if you are raped. I feel this way because even if you are raped that baby is still your baby and the possibilities that this baby could do astronomical things is very likely. this child could turn out to be the most amazing thing in your life and should have the same opportunity to prove that just as you did. If your mother decided that she could not take care of a child when she got pregnant with you and decided to abort you, you would not have all of the great opportunities to do great things that you have been blessed to have. Even if a mother believes that she cannot bring a child into her environment, she can still give that child up for adoption instead of taking that child's life. Give that child an opportunity to live out a better life because there are plenty of couples who are dieing to wwelcome a child into there home, but are unable to get pregnant. Do not blame your unborn child for your mistakes in life, and do not blame your unborn child for the mistakes that someone else has made. It is not the baby's fault!!!!!! Why KILL your child?

the only acceptable situation that abortion is okay is if the mother is going to be physically harmed by having the baby. Regardless if the mother is raped or not, it is a life you're taking away when you abort the baby. Abortion is a skape goat for irresponsible people. If somone is raped, they can still give the baby to adoption if they dont wan't it, that's better than killing it.
I feel that abortion should not be illegal in the U.S. I have a close friend right now, who if it wasn't for abortion, would be trying to raise a 2 month old, go to school, and work at this very moment. If she had not gotten an abortion, her dreams and ambitions would be a lot harder to achieve. She would have had an extremely difficult time, especially since the father didn't want to be around. I've had one or two scares, too, where i thought that i might be pregnant. My initial thought was to get an abortion if i was because if i can barely take care of myself, how am i going to manage taking care of a child? I would not be able to do it. I would be upset, and live with regret, but what right to i have to bring a child into the world when i fear that they might not live the life that i want them to have? I don't feel like i have a right to say who has a right to get an abortion and who doesn't. It is up to that person. I know it is considered "taking a life," but sometimes you have to take a life to "save" another.

Abortion is a big issue in the United States. I do not think that a person who had an abortion should go to prison. I believe everyone should have a choice to what is done to their body. I believe if people are more careful and have safe sex that maybe the conflict with abortion will end. I do believe that a girl who thinks she is old enough to have sex, should be aware of the consequences of having sex. For example, becoming pregnant and I believe that this girl should live up to her responsibilities and her and her partner should raise this child. In the other hand, there are many women who get raped every year and I believe they should have the choice of an abortion. But I believe for the best that girl should keep that child and maybe give it up for abdoption if they truely believe they do not not want it. Then of course many women say they are not ready to raise a baby then I believe they should also keep it and give it up for adoption. I also believe that the girl should not just have a say in the abortion but that the father also has a saying on it. Abortion is a very touchy topic so I am not really sure if it should be illegal because many people are in different situations and maybe abortion is right for them. I agree with Destini Reed that abortion has it's ups and downs.

i do not think that abortion should illegal because if we just say that they are illegal that just means that woman will just go some were else to get it done which could meann death for the woman or it could mean that the women could have isseses later on have kids because of somthing that happen during the abortion and then they could reget what they did. i could not live with myself if i killed my baby just because of my personl belfievs and i know so many people who want to have kids and can't but then you have 14 year old who sleep aroud and get pregant and don't want them. But i don't thiknk that geting a abortion should put you in jail since the jails are overcrowed but i do think that it is murber but if we put ever women who got one in jail the jails would be really overcrowed.i say that abotion is never ok a think that if you do get raped or somthing like that you should not killl the baby for somthing some somone else did that was worng. But i really don't know what i would do if it was me.

I don't think getting an abortion is ever the moral thing to do in any situation. When it all comes down to it you are killing a child. I do fill sorry for rape victims but killing the baby won't take away the pain, it will only make the pain worse with you knowing you killed your child. You can always give the child up for adoption or take the baby to a Cris Nursery but to just decide to kill the baby is murder. As for other non- victim women, if they are not ready for a child then they either don't need to have sex or thier partener and them need to use extreme protection. If you are not reasponsible enough to have sex responsibly then don't do it because when god's gift is inside you and you kill him/her, that's just like you killing someone on the street, it's a crime like any other. It is also a immature decison made by you because that 2 or 3 month old baby was your responsibility that you ran away from just because you were not ready. If you dont have sex you can't get pregnant, think before acting because in the end you are taking a life.

i was just reading these comments on abortion and i saw something very interesting here is the quote "Do not blame your unborn child for your mistakes in life, and do not blame your unborn child for the mistakes that someone else has made. Why KILL your child?" quite a statement isn't it. the only response i have for that is this. most of the kids who are aborted are aborted to avoid the devastation upon the parents. why make a child grow up in shitty destitute poverty because you couldn't keep your legs closed. 13 year old mothers should absolutely abort their unborn children, what kind of chance is that kid going to have if they are born into a situation like that, not much. and on top of that why ruin the parents lives. I would much rather see the parents get to their full potential than see some baby born into a place where his parents are incapable of careing for their needs. it is irresponsible to have these children. pro-choice, if its not your baby then shut the hell up and let the parents make the decision.

Abortion should NOT be used as birth control, but is good when it comes to rape, incest, etc. I understand why people say its murder or killing a life, but in the beginning it's not a conscience life. I mean sperm which make babies or the egg aren't considered life and when u have your period or a man ejaculates into a condom we aren't going "YOU JUST KILLED A BUNCH OF BABIES". The whole when does life start is the real issue. Is it when the sperm enters the egg or is it when the life becomes conscience... and if it is when the life becomes conscience then abortion isn't killing a life since it has to be done within a certain time frame before the fetish is too large.

i think in this new age with people getting pregant earlier in life i think that they should have the option of keeping the baby or having an abortion. Some people at an early age are not ready to take care of a baby when they are only a child their seleves. but that should only be for special cases. I also think that people should have to live with the decision they make. i do agree that abortion is murder because you are killing a human and that is not right but what would you be putting the baby through if the mother did not know how to take care of the baby when it is born. Either way i think that is a topic that will never go away, and people will always be fighting on either side of this topic.

I honestly don't think that abortions should be illegal nor shall people go to jail. But there are some situations where having a child is not the right thing to do. Why would you want to bring your child into a world where they can't be raised the way you want them, yeh sure there is adoption but once you carry a baby inside of you for 9 months you begin to get attached it would be hard to give something away that you have nurtured in your body for so long. It most situations yeh it's because that person is not ready to grow up and deal with the real world. But what about the ones who are trying to do something with their life and make something of theirselfs before having children. I don't believe in abortions because my opinion is you got yourself into this situation and you have to deal with the consequences.

I'm pro-choice and i feel that every women should be able to decide for themselves. I would not have an abortion if i were to become pregnant(even though i never want to have kids) If i got pregnant i would make myself responsible and give the baby a good life which every child deserves. I don't believe abortion should be illegal, everywomen should have the choice to do what they want with their body and what is inside it. I don't necessarily believe that abortion is right but I do believe freedom of choice is right.

I would have to ride the fence in this situation. I think abortion should be illegal but, however it should be legal in most cases like if a woman was raped or something. Most people don't see abortion as wrong but it is. When the baby is first made it has a heart beat. The baby breathes just like you breathe, so would it be okay for someone to take your life just because they think you shouldn't be here. They have a right to be here just as well as anyone else. If however, a woman is raped and wants to have an abortion I feel that it is okay. It is horrible to hear about someone killing a newborn and throwing them in garbage cans so why isn't it such a big crisis when a woman get's an abortion even if the baby is only a couple of weeks or a couple of months old what's the difference.
I think abortion should be illegal no matter the situation. Abortion is taking away life that could do something great. People who have abortions dont think about anybody but themselves. I can understand if someone is raped and then becomes pregnant wanting an abortion, but i still dont think its right. For all we know, some of the babys that were killed, could have cured cancer, or global warming, or set athlete records, I just dont agree with not giving them a chance. Its not the baby's fault for being made. If the baby is that much of a burden, the respectable and humane thing to do is have the baby and then put it up for adoption for somebody who would really care for the child.

I feel that it should because that is a terrible thing. My sister was going to have her first child aborted and we stopped her and now she is one of the best things in my life. I do not see how people can live with their life knowing that they have killed someone. I know a man that had his girlfriend have an abortion and he feels so bad about it, he prays all the time that the lord will forgive him for his actions. I feel that if you are a rape victim and you have a baby from it, you should have the option of having an abortion.

I think abortion should be legal. I think that abortion is something that should be the woman's decision. It's her body and her life and who is anyone else to tell her what to do with either? I don't think that I personally could get an abortion. I don't think that abortion is ok. But I don't think that my opinion should be the deciding factor in someone else's life. Everyone has their own views and opinions. There is no way to stop abortion. I don't think that any woman should be denied the right to have an abortion, no matter how they got pregnant. Who is the authority on which woman gets to choose what she can and cannot do with her body? It's not anyone's place but her own. I don't think it's fair to use the term "killing a child." Even in homicide cases with a pregnant woman, the murder cannot be charged with double murder unless the baby was actually born and took a breath. Calling abortion murder is a double standard. You can't stop someone from doing something they've sent their mind to. It is possible, but incredibly unsafe to perform a "home abortion." Abortion clinics provide a safe enviornment for a choice that no one can stop but the person who makes it.

i believe that abortion should not be illegal. there are many babies and children in the wrold who suffer for poverty,hunger and drugs because their parents couldn't take car e of them. its better to not bring a child in to the world if you know you do not have the ability to take resposable on the child. responsabily is a major part on taking care of a child and many parents especially teenagers do noty realize that. therefore these kids suffer through life.

Having an abortion is killing a baby by a real horrific way, even when the baby is two weeks old. If a mother who turns pregnant would want an abortion, should not have to go to jail. She will get punished enough from the Lord on his own duty. Letting a new born come into this world brightens up people and let the child learn things that they would not learn if the mom had an abortion to the child. I think that theyshould be banned from the U.S., but it might never happen by the doctors who see a different point by what abortion means to them. Abortion is always going to be a controversial topic, just as same sex marriages. I am pro-choice, feeling it is a person's right to decide whether or not to have a child. I personally would NEVER have an abortion, because that is me. I would feel guilty for the rest of my life for taking a baby's life.
It disturbs me that some of you have stated that the baby would ruin some of your lives, and feel it would be necessary. My feelings are this, if you are that concerned about your future then you will take ALL the necessary precautions to prevent unwanted pregnancies, this is for both men and women. This comment really gets me, "If you are not ready for the responsibility and then you should not have the baby. You could screw the babies life." And this one, "I know it is considered "taking a life," but sometimes you have to take a life to "save" another." What is wrong with you people? Like I mentioned above, if you aren't ready or feel this way, then be responsible adults and due what is necessary to precent unwanted pregnancies.
I know every person's situation is different, but being a matrue adult will prevent some from ever having to make such a decision. I have two friends who had abortions when they were younger; they live with regret and wonder what that child would of been like, and how it may have changed their life for the better. It carries emotional scars that can affect a person's future relationships. I feel sorry for the decisions women make to end a pregnancy, there are other options, which are difficult as well. I was very fortunate having my two sons, because in the beginning, I thought my life would end, it has only gotten better. I believe it ulitmately is up to the person and I respect their decision. I just don't approve of the above comments, it sounds cold and heartless.

The views on abortion are many but the fact of the matter is that everyone should have the right to do what is best for them even if it is controversal. This does not mean I support abortion but I am also not against it either. The are instances were abortion could be the best choice for somebody. But if you are the peron who readily signs for this without weighing the options or have had it once already you should not be alowed to have it. I don't see it right to do it more than once though because they are now using it as a way out.
