I constantly think about how human beings are slowly destroying this planet by stripping it of its natural resources and putting toxins back into the air, ground, and water - it makes me sick. I think the mistakes we are making right now in this environment will seriously affect our children - they have to face the consequences for out mistakes. I'm not sure what that means, though. They will most certainly live in a more polluted environment making them suseptable to illness, they will be in a warmer environment because of global warming, they will constantly have to change the way they live just to stay healthy. I'm not sure how much of our energy sources we have left, but I know it's very few. We have eaten away at these resources in big chunks and now we are desperate for more, AND there is most definitely not enough left for generations to come. The world needs to unite on this issue and get it solved - it needs to come up with new, healthier, and safer energy resources. Otherwise the resources will eventually be gone and the pollution will continue to grow. Pollution is affecting and will keep affecting the environment as well as the humans in that environment. As individuals there are some things we can do to minimize our affect on the use of natural resources as well as pollution. For instance we could ride a bike to work, walk, or even take the bus, using less fuel and putting much less pollution into the air. We could recycle as much as possible, pick up trash whenever we see it in the environment around us, use less water by taking faster showers and not watering the lawn so much, use less electricity by turning lights off when we're not home or not in that room, etc. There is so much human beings could do, and it makes for little inconvenience! As for the technology issue, I do not have an answer because I have no idea what people knew 20 years ago. I do know, however, that scientists warned of depleting resources, global warming, green house gases, and pollution. Why we didn't pay attention, I do not know. I also do not have an answer to whether environment today will change the DNA makeup of our children. I sure hope not, but if we don't do something and something FAST it may very well. I think the saddest part of all of this is that we as human beings aren't doing enough even when we now know there are problems. We just simply say "it won't affect me so why bother" - well it affects generations to come, including our children...so maybe we should care.

We are depleting our resourses at astonastion rate. We are constantly throwing recyclebles away that can be reused and putting things in the air that are extremely volatial to the atmosphere. Most of the world understands this and could do something about it, but have no guts to do it. The reason why is they know that even if we support the movement to clean up our mess we wouldn't for very long because it all comes down to money. Just the the other day when I came home, my dad asked me if I had voted, I told him no because I can see both sides of the issue on which we were voting for so I decided not to vote. That made him angry at me and he told me to vote against it or we would have to pay more taxes, I still didn't vote. That all it comes to is money and the raising taxes. People are for clean up the environment but they do not want to pay the price tag the goes with it. We are nothing but greedy idiots when it comes down to it. Now there are two sides of everything. Not all of the people are greedy and are not so willing to do nothing. The places where pollution has effected the most are doing something about, marine and land biologist are working hard to figure ways to correct the mistakes and it is slowly waring away at our reluctants to do something, will it be in time to save our home maybe or maybe not that is something we have to what to see.

I think that more and more cities are being built everyday and is not good. When coming our children and children's children, I wonder if they will see the state parks that are here today. One problem is not just building more, but also making factories that will kill the environment that we live in today. Pollution is another problem that is getting more worse and it's from people not recycling or throwing their trash away in a proper place.
