I think that many of the people who are against the war don't know or aren't willing to know both sides of it. Sure there is always going to be parts of it that are questionable on whether or not we should be there, but i think for the most part what we're doing over there is good. I am friends with several people who went to iraq and now are back and they said one of the biggest problems with the media is they don't show the good things that are happening. They mostly focus on the neg. Many of my friends even said to me they wanted to get back to help out more. I'm not saying thats the case for everyone. I'm sure there are soldiers who want to come home right now. Like the video we watched today in class...sure a lot of those things might have happened, but it didn't show one good thing that has become of the war.

Do I support the ideas of anti-war protesters? No. Do I believe they have every right to protest the war? Yes. Will I ever take place in an anti-war protest? No. Hopefully this answers your first question.
I am a full believer that there are people who are out to destroy those in opposition to their beliefs, and I fully support whatever measures are needed to be taken in order to remove those types of people whether it's by acts of violence or non-violence. However, it's unfortunate when innocent people are affected by the acts of violence.

I don't like that we are at war- but i don't know a lot about it. I am very thankful to all of the people fighting for us right now, but i don't see why they can't just come home and let Iraq deal with their own problems.

Anti-war protests are freedom of speech, and, though I do not agree with them, I still accept others' views. It is great that our freedom to petition the government in a peaceful manner is still protected, even though many of the protesters are taking these liberties for granted.
I am a firm supporter of the war and our troops. It is sad that the war has been escalated into such the political issue it has. I do not understand why people disagree with liberating a nation's peoples who have gone through the reign of Saddam. Also, I question why some insist Iraq did not have WMDs when U.N. weapons inspectors were permitted to search only certain places at certain times. That is like me and a couple of friends playing hide-and-seek. If I run off
and hide in the shed and my friend playing the seeker is only allowed to search behind the big oak, the garage, and the pine trees, then that friend will never find what is
actually present. It is time to start standing behind our President.

Hi, Jamie. I support nonviolent anti-war protests because I'm against nearly all violence, including all wars. I want them all to end before they even start. I side with Jesus on this issue and believe violence begets more violence. I don't know of anywhere where Jesus advises people to take arms against their brothers and kill them instead of trying to reason with them.
Saddam is most likely extremely evil, but one dude and his family and cronies is not worth waging war over. We should have sent in a swat team or a bunch of Army Rangers and killed Saddamn back in the early 90s, or even earlier, when he was at his most dangerous and at his peak in killing his own countrymen. Would Jesus approve of this solution? I doubt it, but it's way better than innocent children dying day after day (which I believe is partly a consequence of the US invasion).

I don't agree with protest because we should stand behind our country. I don't agree with the war. I don't think this was our war to fight. I support american and the soldier that risk their life for our country. They are the only ones I support. I think protesting is very disresptectfull to the soldiers. they are serving their country when called upon.

I do not agree with the aniti war protests. I do not believe it is humane to agrue over something when the youth of this country are getting injured and killed everyday in Iraq. We are doing nothing to help end the war with Iraq. The reason for this is because they (the Iraqi's) see weakness in us for wanting to stop this war. and this weakness makes them stronger because they bieleve they are fighting a winning war. So in turn more and more American soldiers are going to get killed because of the new found vigor in the iraqi's. I think if we all supported are troops and pressed the iraqi's into submission. The war will be over sooner than it is now. Not to mention the soldiers would feel important and have a better time knowing they have the back of the American nation. So with these statements I am for the war till the soldiers are pulled out of iraq.

I dont agree with anti war protests, but I do agree with free speech. I think that people should be able to argue over whatever they feel like, know matter how stupid it is. Just as long as the protests dont get violent. I dont support the war itself, but I support all the troops that are over their fighting for our country. I dont think they are over there fighting for nothing. I dont support the war, because I dont like to see innocent people dying. Aaron Royse
I do not disagree with war protests, but I do disagree with the way they are handles at times. Why do protests have to become violent isn’t that what they are protesting to begin with. If people could handle themselves in a non-violent manner, they would probably get more positive attention. I do think before there is a protest, those involved need to know what they are talking about. I have seen a few where the protesters had no idea what they were fighting for. I support the troops and America, I cannot always say I agree with why we are in a war, but I respect the men who are there fighting for us. I do think at times, we are fighting for freedom, not only in our country, but for others. We are one of the biggest countries, helping others is a good thing. I hate to see death to anyone, but unfortunately that is a fact of life. Darcy Cekander
I agreed with the protesters before the war started because there could have been a chance that we may not go,but now that the war has started they are just preaching to the chior. There in no way that we will exit this war sooner than Bush wants us to so instead of protesting the war they be should marching to support the soilders who are risking their lives to allow them the opportunity to be able to protest whatever they want to.
I do not support the war personally because I feel that before we go to help another country with their problems we need to help our own country first, because if I was another country and I saw what was going on in the US I'm not so sure I would want to be just like them. On that same note would the US just allow another country to come in and just push their customs on us? I think not so what gives us the power to do so?

I disagree with anti war protests. I don't support the war, but I do support America. I don't support the war because most of it is the killing of innocent people. I do however think that if you aren't going to support or stand behind your country and its decisions that you should live there. I think everyone should do what they believe. Why choose to live in a country that you disagree with?
