Mary Moore wants to know ......

If you had the time to write a short note to your child that you would give him or her just before you died, what would the note say?

Please give me more than just a one-liner! I want to know what you would really write (or say) to your child.

No regrets. Live for yesterdays tomorrow. No one can deny your past. It is the wall upon which we all stand. If we try and remove parts of it everything collapses, if we spend too much time looking at it-we fall off. Therefore live with what you have learnt, love in the same way you have been loved, and i will always exist in your past. Let me shape your future and be brave. I love you.....something like that

Life is truly a gift Kathryn. Savor every moment, good and bad, because they all serve to make up who we are.
Be tolerant of differing opinions and backgrounds, because from infinite diversity springs forth infinite possibility.
Question the status quo. Many of the darkest acts in history were allowed to pass in the name of conformity.
Life is a mystery to be solved. Know that education and experience are the silver linning in all of life's storm clouds.
You know that your father loves you very much and will see you again so don't be sad.
I have no idea what I would really write, but I'd like to think it would be something like that.

Wow this is a really good question! I would write: Colten, be mommies little soldier and hold your head up high. I am so proud of you. Live life to its fullest moments with no regrets. Enjoy every moment good or bad, because that makes us who we are. You treat daddy with lots of love and respect because he to will love you till his dying day. Mommy wishes she could be there to see you off to school, talk to you about your first crush, cheer you on at graduation, smile with you at your wedding, and shed a tear with you at your first borns birth. I live on inside of you, and every moment of every day I will be looking down apon you. You are my brite and shinning star. And mommy loves you more than you will ever know. Now carrie on my precious son, for I will always be within your heart. I love you!

Take life and live it to the best of your abilties that away you can have no regrets on what you've not accomplished because you already have. I know because my most important goal was to have a child and to see them grow into a beautiful person both inside and out. Someone who I am proud of and no matter what will be watching over through theirs and their own childrens life.

"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." - Socrates

Keep your eyes, ears, and heart open and learn as much as you can from other peoples' mistakes; at the same time don't be afraid to take chances as you never know what the outcome may be. Life is like a box of chocolates: if you bother to look there is a little map in the inside cover telling you exactly what you are going to get. Make sure you stop to smell the roses every now and then.

I don't have any kids so this isn't coming very easy, but that's the basic jist.

I would tell my kids how proud I am of both of them, and I love them more than life itself. I would want them to know that when their dad died they were what kept me going. I am very proud of how they handled their dads death and was able to move on with their lives and I want them to do the same thing when I die. I want them to live life the fullest and enjoy the good times and the bad, because everything you go through in life is a learning experience and you will become a stronger person because of them. Be happy and have fun! I Love You!

Go WILD, baby! Don't let them hold you down. Don't listen to what anyone says but your own heart and head. Do what you have to do to stay out of jail, but other than that, don't listen to all the nay-sayers in society. Scream out YES! and jump from tree to tree with the most free of the wildest monkeys. Don't take no for an answer. Question authority. Love everyone. Be as much of a rebel as Jesus was. Help others. Stay free, and bust loose!

i dont have children yet mary but if i did and i was about to die i would tell them in a note that i love them very much and always will. And that even if im not physically around i am spiritually and will always be with them in their hearts and souls. I would also say live life to the fullest and make no regrets because life may pass you by before you know it. Love and cherish one another and take care of each other because one day you may never see that person again. leah perdue
