Is being in a same sex relationship okay? By: Derrick Moore

Is being in a same sex relationship okay? What is your opinion? Also: Are people born gay or is it something they grow into? Why do you think so?

Thanks for responding!

I think that is a personal choice. I am not sure what the couple gets
out of it but if they are happy who am I to judge. Maybe they were in a
bad relationship with the opposite sex and decided to try a relationship
with the same sex. I don't know if they are born gay or not. Maybe they
are, or like I said before they had a bad experience with the opposite
sex and found out they perfer to be with the same sex. --WeTona Houtzel

Derrick. I think that most homosexuals are born with at least the capacity to be gay, and then maybe some of their early upbringing makes the difference. I do not think that truly homosexual people (those that truly prefer sexual relationships with the same sex) choose to be gay. I do think that some heterosexuals choose to "play" gay because it's sort of trendy in some places to be gay (or at least it was a few years ago), but these people, although they practice same-sex relations, aren't truly gay in my opinion.

In any case, I'm fine with gay people and their sexual preferences. I think homosexuality is common to many species, and I don't see why more people aren't accepting of it. I don't have any sexual interest in men and wouldn't choose the gay lifestyle myself, but I can see why women would, whether they are truly gay or not.

everyone is looking for acceptance. it's just that along the way, some people get a little confused. perhaps it's from a hurtful relationship in the past that (knowingly or not) is being made-up for in such a way.

Personaly I have no preference on same sex relationships or marriage what other people choose to do with their life is no one else's business, and it should stay that way.

Derrik,

I think that people are both born gay and there are some that choose to have same sex relationships. I think the people that choose that lifestyle may not feel accepted by the opposite sex, or it is just an attention getting act. I personally have no problem with same sex marriage. If two people make each other happy and can committ to each other why should they be forbidden a ceromony to celebrate it. christie johnson

This country is geting to liberal in what it accepts. Let's stop encouraging homosexuals now by stop telling them its ok to be gay. It's not okay! It's an abomination of God's plans.

John said dont say anythng offensive so I hope this is not but God didn't make Adam and Steve, right? If the future of the world is gay people, there will be no future for the species!

Let me first start by saying that I think this issue shouldn't be a matter of public debate and certainly it should NEVER be a political issue in this country. This is a personal choice and nothing more. If we are to be a free society that freedom must start with the ability to choose who we spend time with, fall in love with, and yes even marry. I think that the fact that same sex marriages are illegal anywhere in this country to be an assult on the American way of life itself. What ever happened to the idea I may not agree with your beliefs, but I will deffend to the death your right to believe it. This holds true for our actions as well as long as these actions do not endanger anyone else unwillingly.

As to what cause homosexuality, I believe genetics as well as envoirnmental conditions both play a large part in difining one's sexual preferences.

Homosexuality has been demonstrated in all higher forms of life, so it IS natural, at least in the sense that it is "of nature," no matter what the religious right paints on their posters. We can compare this to another behavior, such as eating your young. This is a natural behavior in some higher forms of life, but not all. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending or your point of view) this is not a natural behavior in humans. Some people naturally have homosexual urges and I cannot find any good reason that society should require them to repress those urges as they don't hurt anyone else by expressing themselves in this way.

I believe that if two people of the same sex want to be in a relationship, than more power to them. Who am I to judge who people want to be with, who is to say that being with the opposite sex is right? I feel as if we all want to be accepted and we all want to be loved, and where ever you can find that kind of compassion is fine with me.

Yes, I think being in a same sex relationship is fine. I am not sure why anyone would even have a problem with it. I do believe that people are generally born gay.

I think that being in a same sex relationship is a personal choice. It's really not anyone elses buisnes except for theirs. I don't know if people are born gay or if they have had a bad past experience.
