Latinos

How do you feel about Latinos in this country?

Do you think Latinos in the USA are nessessary here?

Do you think that the goverment(or whoever) is being unfair by not giving Latinos some rights?

Do you think voting is important to you?? Well if it is, what do think about the Latinos that come here to the USA for a "better" life that can't even vote?

Same for driving. Do you think Latinos should be able to get a drivers license?

Have you ever descriminated against a Latino because of their status? If so, for what reason?

Do you think it would be a good idea for Latinos to get all benefits that a USA citizen has?

Did you know that some people who are trying to cross the border die of dehydration or exposure to the elements on their way? Others simply disappear without a trace, and their families never hear from them again. Should something be done to prevent this from happening?

I have little to no opinion on the Latino people that come to the U.S. It has never affected me. If somebody wants to come to the States for a better life, who am I to tell them they can't?

I feel that if Latinos what to escape from their countries and start new lifes in the US is great, however i don't feel that they should just be allowed to walk across the border and be considered US citizens. I feel in order for them to obtain that goal they should have to first learn enough english inorder to communicate well enough to make it as a citizen. I also feel that they should have to learn basic laws and customs we practice in the US and if they pass these requirements then i feel they should be aloud to become US citizens, which would give them the right to vote, drive a car, and get a job. As for the ones who die while trying to cross the border illegally there shouldnt be any chances, if they want to enter America to change their lives for the better it shouldnt a result of an illegal act.

I don't mind Latino's in this country one bit. They're some of the hardest working people i've ever seen, but I don't see how they could really be NEEDED. The government is only being unfair to Latinos if they are citizens and not getting all the rights as the other citizens. If the Latino is a citizen then they should have every right to vote. No, I have never descriminated a Latino, i'm not that kina person. If they are working towards becoming a citizen or even have duel citizenship then yeah, I believe they should have the same rights as a US citizen. If they wanna take the dangerous risks of sneaking into the states illegally then thats the risks they should know they are taking.

Hola mis amigos. That's how I feel. They aren't necessary, they could possibly be draining our economy though. Not just them, all immigrants who come just for work and then send the money home. They are making our American money, and sending it back home, which means it's not being spent here. I don't like that idea at all. I wasn't aware that any latino who became a citizen was stripped of their rights, that's quite unconstitutional. If you are here, and not a citizen, you are here illegally, then you should have no rights just as an american is stripped of their rights for felonies. Voting is very essential, and latinos can vote, given they meet the requirements: Note, for all states, in order to register to vote, an applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a legal resident of the state, and 18 years old on or before election day. Additionally, most states do not permit an individual to vote if he or she is a convicted felon currently serving time in prison or has been declared mentally incompetent by a court of law. So given they aren't here illegally, they can vote. And...they do have driver's license, given proof they are supposed to be here...and they can drive well enough. As far as benefits go...if you help to contribute to these benefits then you should get your piece of the pie. If you're mooching, no. Um, if you don't try to cross, that won't happen. End of story.

If a Latino wants to come to the United States, that's perfectly fine. You come here and get registered and become an American citizen just like all the other Americans. Follow our rules and speak our language. After all, you are in our country. Don't come to my country illegaly, steal jobs, or not be able to speak English. Why would we want people in our country that can't even speak English? It's fine if your visiting or talk like that among your family but if you are here without being a citizen and speaking your language, then i have a problem. I'm all for Latinos if they do everything the right way and become a citizen. I have Latino friends but if they try to sneak in and disobey our rules, you don't belong here.

I think that if they want to come over here they need to do it properly by becoming a US citizen. They need to learn our language our laws, and take on responsibilities just like everyone here is supposed to do. I think they also need these things before being allowed to be employed or live here. This goes for all people that come to the US not just Latinos. And if someone doesn’t want to comply with this they don’t need to be here.

I dont have a problem with any race. I do feel America is over populated and have little to nothing for their own. If you come across the boarder like that you no the out come. I wouldn't want to be anywhere nobody didnt want me. Its legal ways to come over here.

I did not know that Latinos in this country was an issue. If they enter the United States the legal way and learn our language, pass the test to become a citizen, I have no problem.

Getting a drivers license in the United States, is not a hard thing to do. Take classes, pass the test and you have one. Lots of people have them and even some that shouldn't.

The United States is made up of a lot of different nationalities and that is what makes us such a wonderful country.

I do think that at this time our country needs to curtail entrance because the United States cannot take care of their own. Does that mean I hold a grudge for those entering, nope, in no way.

I really don't have anything against Latinos, but it seems as if the U.S. does. As many jobs as Latinos have in America I don;t think it is a problem for them to be here. But there is always a legal side of it and the government likes to keep track of everyone that is here, and it is certain rules you have to follow, but overall no problem at all.

who am i to judge if someone from another country wants to come and get a new begining here i am not to judge.

I beleive that if you come to this country you should have to register and become a citizen like all immigrants. In order to receive rights in our country you have to be a citizen. I have a few friends that are Latino and they are here illegally. But they are still my friends and they are still good people. I wouldnt discriminate against them.

I don't have an opinion about Latinos being the US. I don't have a problem with them one way or the other. I think that it is fine for them to come to this country for a better life, but I do feel that they should take all of the necessary steps to become legal citizens like everyone else.

I believe that those Latino's who obtain Us citizenship should be allowed all rights that they deserve for being a US citizen. However, I do not believe that just because someone makes it accross the US border that they should recieve benefits. I strongly believe that once they have legally obtained citizenship then and only then are they able to be treated as a citizen. they should not be rewarded for breaking the law to obtain citzenship. I also believe that those who break the law and die tryig to, knew the risks prior to their decision and decided their own ill fate and they don't deserve pitty.

I don't have a problem with Latino's. If I wasn't from America I would probably do what ever it took to get here. I think that if they are legal citizens yes they should have all the rights the Americans have, voting, driving, benefits, etc...But I think they should try to get in the right way.

There are Latinos all over the US. I don't really have much to say about this besides that most of them are coming over for a better life. Who doesn't want a better life? Although most are illegally coming over here, there should be some limits on what is done. I don't really know to much about the matter on government and Latinos rights. Voting to me isn't that important when it comes down to it. Latinos should be able to have a drivers license, but only under certain circumstances.

i have no problem with Latinos in this country. it's never effected me. maybe it will in the future, but as of now, i have no reasonable explanation to say they aren't allowed.

i am not fully aware of the government problem though.

the only thing i have to say is that if you're going to be coming to America, please speak English. that's the language we speak here. so learn.

I don’t have a problem with them coming into the us for a better life. But if they want the right to vote, and drive then they should come into the states legally. As far as something being done to help prevent people from dyeing when they cross the border goes, I don’t think anything should be done. They should know those risks, and should have weight the consequences before they decide try to sneak across the border.

well if you are a legal latino then you will ahve the right to voter and pay taxes. but i got a problem with the ones that dont. you take the risk when your crossing illegally to this country on dehydraytion and animals eating you. if ytou just did it the right way you wouldn't have any problem.

My grandfather came to this country illigaly, he was only going to visit for a few weeks, he did not want to live here because everything he knew was in mexico. I was going to turn 1 when he decided to come visit his grandson for the first time, His plan was to visit for a few weeks just to see his family. The rest of my family is legal but it took them over Ten years to do so. My grandfater walked, hichkicked, and suffered getting here. When he crossed a road he was run over by a careless lady who felt the need to speed. Weeks lader my parents drove to Texas to identify his body. All he had on him was an ID and a few bucks. Its not that easy to get registered, I love America but the goverment knows how to skrew people over. I know people that have to wait 15 years to get legalized and even after 15 years nothing happens. I donts see any proplems with people crossing the border to live the American dream.
