i dont think that the ban on fire arms is a good idea plus its an amendment we have the right to bare arms
owning fire arms is a decision that one person makes wether it be for hunting or to pop a cap in some one. Some people that dont earn alot of money use guns to hunt and use the meat off of the animal to feed their family. I personally do not think that the law would be passed due to the huge population of gun owners in the U.S. They would have to change the amendment that says we have the right to bare arms if it was to be passed.
I think it's bull shit that they are trying to ban guns. I know for sure that the ban will never happen because it violates the 2nd amendment.

the ban will probably not happen and it would piss alot of people off if it did becuase of the gun clubs, hunters, and collectors. but it would probably cut down on gun violence on humans slightly. i mean it might a little bit but still, if someone wants a gun they will get a gun.bob burnard
i dont think that firearms will never be banned. with strong support from hunters enthusiast and the NRA we will keep our guns. i believe most people should have guns for those out of the ordinary situations. not many people will rob your house if they think they are gonna get shot

in my opinion the second amendmant hardly exists any more. there are only two states *vermont and alaska i think* that just let you have a gun. all the other either 1:require you to have a concieled weapons permit or 2: dont let you carry weapons at all *like illinois* the problem is though that i dont think a weapon ban would do any good at all. the people still breaking the law would still have guns and law abiding citizens wouldn't. granted i dont think people should just be given guns either because people on the whole are stupid. im not sure what should be done about gun laws. there needs to be less red tape to get a permit but also guns just cant be passed out to the masses either.

there is no way in out life time that a firearm band will ever take effect. that was what hitler did when he started taking over europe. the american people have to many guns and too much power in certin places for the ban to ever take effect. if they were to unarm the people we would be defensless against anyone trying to get in this country. it also does not really matter if you make the band because people will always find a way to get guns. The only way that people should be able to bare arms is if they wear a sleeveless shirt or if they use their guns for sport or work. The average joe doesn't need a gun, it's a bad idea. You still will get into a lot of trouble if you shoot a burglar. Outlawing firearms is a good idea.

I think having firearms is a freedom of choice issue. If I want to own a gun then I should be able to. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.
A criminal can get his hands on a gun no matter what kind of gun control laws there are. So why would we keep them from people that enjoy shooting, hunting and protecting their families?
I was raised around guns and taught how to respect them, as were my children. I can shoot with the best of them, but that does not mean I will take that weapon and shoot someone that makes me angry. However, I will shoot if someone breaks into my house and my family is in danger.
I dont think there will ever be a complete ban on firearms..That would be unconstitutional.I cannot legally own a firearm because of one little aggravated robbery charge.(aint that some shit?)However i am for all you boneheads right to go dear hunting with an AK-47 if thats what you choose to do.If they do outlaw guns then only outlaws will have guns.Im telling you from experience that its not hard to get a gun if you really want one so dont sweat the small stuff like having a FOID card
There is no way that this ban will come in to effect. Its our right to own firearms, and there is no changing that.

I do not believe they will ever completely ban guns. there are way to many hunters out in the world that will have their say in it and as Obama has said he is about hearing the people so i do not think it will ever happen. there may be stiffer laws and penalties of breaking gun laws but there will never be a complete gun ban.

I don't think the ban will work. I come from a family of hunters, and they are not going to eliminate shotgun seasons whether they are told to or not.
I dont care what obama says there is no way guns will ever be banned in the US. For one there is way to many outthere and you will never be able to get rid of them. two i would be like the ban on liquor back in the day. Bootlegging guns would become a major problem. 3. I think the NRA has a lot of political connections. 4.I think that that is a reason that other countries may not invade us. Even if they think they can beat our military. There are alot of people that arent the fighting kind that own guns. If someone they dont want on there land comes after them they will shoot.
i dont think firearms should be banned. if it comes into affect there will be outrage. there will probably be riots everywhere. the president will get shot.

First of all for the people who think banning guns will stop violence. You are wrong. If someone wants to kill someone they will find away to do it without a gun. Second, Why do you want to punish the good people with guns? What if you enjoyed a hobby but I didn't agree with it so I petitioned to have it banned? Not fair, right? I know for a fact a lot of these guns move right out the back door of police stations and onto the streets. Lets severly punish the ones that break the laws with guns and not the responsible gun owners!Maybe if more pepole carried guns there would be less crime. Statisticly states that have a total gun ban have more crime and murder than a state with no ban. Don't be affriad of guns. I bet I could kill a person with my pencil just as fast as I could with a gun. Do you want to ban pencils too?
What if you are sleeping in your home and this crazy killer breaks in. You wake up and see this guy hovering over your son or daughter with a gun or a knife in his hand. Now if you owned a gun you could take this scum bag out before he does any damage. But if you had your precious gun ban you would just have to sit there defensless and let him have his way with you and your child. Don't say it can't or won't happen to you because it happens every day in this country. I want to be able to protect my family and be backed with a weapon equal or greater to my attacker's.

I feel if you strengthen the conseqences of commiting crimes with firearms you will see a dramatic drop in crime rate.
I am a dedicated hunter. Shooting and hunting with my children, family and friends gives us a strong bond and instills family value. Not only do we learn respect for the world and environment we learn respect for life and each other by hunting.
I'll say this, for the ones against guns, What do you actually know about them? Have you learned how they work? Have you ever shot one? Have you ever hunted? Do you know what is at stake by trying to ban them? or is it just because you don't have or want one you follow the crowd and say ban them, it makes no difference to me. Thats a shitty attitude.
How about we ban the freedom to proposing new laws. Oh, it's a right that you have, the freedom of speech. Well so isn't owning a firearm. What if I helped pass a law saying you can't have the freedom of speech and opinion. It wouldn't be fair, right? Well it's not fair to ban guns either.
well the way i feel about this situation is they should take the president and put him in a room full of bobcats with out a gun and he just might change his mid on the whole situation.
