Global Warming and The Greenhouse Effect

Do you think global warming is a serious problem that needs to be dealt with urgently? What do you think the biggest cause of global warming is? How can we effectively stop or reduce the amount of pollution we put into the atmosphere? Could there be a solution to take some of these gases back out of the air? Are we really worried about the climate we will leave behind for our children? And will there ever be a total global flood because of the ice caps melting?

Yes i think that the greenhouse house effect is a major problem and no one is doing anything about it. You see more violent storms and weather that is not usual for the season. I think that if nothing is done we will have problems in the long run and then there will noting that can to bbe done to fix the ozone layer. People need to realize that the resources on this earth will not be around for ever so we need to find other sources that are friendly to the environment.

i do think that global warming is a huge problem and needs to be fixed now so before it can not be fixed anymore. i don't knowf for sure what causes global warming but i think it is caused by pollution. We can effectively stop pollution by coming up with new ways to travel i know now that we have cars that run on other things besides gas. But these cars cost a lot and not many people have them most people have big trucks and hug SUV that take up a ton of gas.So hopful these cars will become more popuar.I guess there could be a solution to take some of these gases out of the air but i don't know what the asker is.i do think that people are worried about how the earth is going to be in 19 or 20 years and i think thats why people want to fix it how so their kids won't need to wory about it.i hope there will not be a total global flood and i really don't think it will happen since everyone now is doing so much to stop it hopful what we are doing is enogh.

I think that global warming is a serious issue that should be dealt with before it causes another ice age. there is many things we can do to help reduce global warming. Reuse and Recycle, use less heat and air conditing, and drive Less, buy energy-efficient products, and encourage other people to reuse and recycle. i dont think that the climate is going to change drastly enough to effect or children by maybe our great grandkids and the kids after that. But with flooding we are all going to have to move inland and that would put everyone in cramped bad conditions which should cause a plague.

I dont think that global warming is as big of an issue as everyone makes it out to be. Everyone says that the climate is changing and warming up. Well the past few weeks were colder than normal so is that global warming? I thought that things should be warmer. I think a lot of the whole global warming thing is just scientists saying stuff so they can make themselves have more respect and get more money. I dont think that the ozone layer is wasting away like they say it is and I dont think that global warming is a big issue. A lot of things about all of this come from the EPA and I dont really care for that organization's tactics.

I think global warming is a serious issue that needs to be delt with quick. I dont want to die becuse the g overnment is to lazy to go fix something thats actually important instead of going over to iraq killing people for no reason.

With all this talk about global warming I've started paying a little more attention to the weather lately and it seems to me that Global warming is simply the seasons coming later in the year.

This is a great question, and yes Global Warming is totally real. No we aren't worried enough about the eath when are kids grow up, which is terrible. I think the only thing at this point in time to save our earth is going to be more Government regulations. As much as we hate the government to get involved I really don't see enough people, which should be Everyone, getting involved. Recycling, Reusing, Reminding to shut off lights and unused water. I don't think we actually can grasp the concept that we are ruining our world, at least not desperatly enough to save it. There is a web site anyone can go to and help to save the earth for free by clicking on the red squares, after you do that the sponser for the site donates so much money to help save rainforests and clean the air. ECOLOGYFUND.COM is the site and in all reality every person with a computer should click those red boxes everyday if they don't want the world to flood because slowly but SURELY it IS happening and we should be scared for everyones future. Some ( Iwould say stupid) people are trying to "grandfather in" some factories that have been around for years so they are able to continue polluting the earth @ the same level they have always while younger newer companies have stricter rules. To help stop the "Grandfathering in" of polluting companies you can log on to WWW.Earthshare.com and sign a petition. It's sad people are to busy to do these free things to help save the earth, yet I'm sure when the shit hits the roof they'll have time to beg for forgiveness (from who ever they beleive in.) I definately believe that global warming is a huge issue today. As collausal as this problem is it feels as if the problem is being overlooked and pushed to the "back-burner". It is not being taken care of and I think that many people think that if they just ignore it then it will just go away. This is a problem that will not just go away in fact it is a problem that is getting worse and it is not going to get better. We need to unite and do something about this issue before it is too late to save us. It is possible that in the next 10 years the earth will be unlivable and this is all because we do not know how to take care of our planet. It is definately a problem that needs to be dealt with fast.

Global warming kind of scares the crap out of me. When I watch the history and discovery channel and they say how much ice has decreased over the years, it freaks me out. I do think that some scientists kind of make it sound worse than it really is, but if we dont do something now, then its going to be real bad. To fix global warming and decrease pollution in the air, technology simply needs to advance. We need to find a good dependable replacement for oil and gas that everybody can use to limit the amount of pollution going through the air. Littering is always a problem as well, but it seems that recycle centers are spending a lot of money. The only way recycling will be affective, is if it becomes an actual law that enforces everybody to do it. That way, we could reuse most of what we would throw away, saving money and pollution.

Yes, I think that the greenhouse is a major problem. Many things are trying to be done about it, but I think their should be more done that is effective. People need to see that once the damage is done to the ozone layer there is no going back to fix it. That is way right now we should be doing something about it. We need to find better sources for the environment that help it not hurt it.

the world's temperature has been rising for thousands of years. It takes thousands of years for the Earth to heat up to its historical maximum mean temperature. We have only been burning fossil fules for a couple hundred years. When you look at real temperature data for the 20th century as a whole, there isn't much evidence that the Earth's climate has warmed more than about one degree Fahrenheit. And when liberals say that their is a problem and we should do something, then do something about it. Don't just bitch, get a hybrid and start hugging the trees.

i am not a scientist, and i really dont know a whole lot. but i do have one theory that i would like to share. a lot of people think that we are in serious trouble ; the hole in the ozone, the rising temperatures and the melting of the ice in the north pole. is it really an issue that we should care about? i believe that the hole in the ozone isn't that bad, it acts as a medium between earth and space, letting out all the unneeded gases out. as for the temperature and the melting of the north pole snow, didn't that happen once before. the ice age era was done and all the ice melted back then, and they didnt even have cars nor electricity or any of the things that we are told to be harmful to the environment. i think that this is just a phase that the Earth cycles through. i think recycling materials actually costs a lot more than making new ones. to me, this issue is severely over-rated.

I feel global warming is a serious issue, and hope Americans will do what they can to help change it. I believe that President Bush and other Presidents to come will concentrate on these important issues than fighting the war in Iraq. I think we should be doing something to help reuse, recycle, and remodel in the world. Some people are doing just that, I think it was Julia Roberts just built her new home in California with all envrionment friendly materials. It will be heated and ran on something similar to cooking oil.

Global warming is a issue because it can cause serious damage that we won't be prepared for. If people actually use the recycle bins in schools, business, ect. that would help out the issue a lot. With the gas it is also an issue because nowadays peolpe are driving these big trucks which polute the air a whole lot. Global warming isn't going to be fixed immediately but if peolpe start doing things to reduce the issue of it in time it will be something that isn't such a scare too many.
