Who's a Ho?
Who says females can't have multiple sex partners like males? Is it right for a man to have sex with various women and get called "a player," but when a woman has intercourse with more than one male they are known as a "ho." Why is it that women get judged for their sexual life and get called names for doing the same thing that men do?
Think about how males and females are raised at home. Many parents thinks it's okay for their son to have sex, but when their daughter is having sexual intercourse, it's a major problem! Why is that?
Do you think there's a double standard for men and women when it comes to having sex? Do you think this is fair? Why or why not?

I have no clue why that is, but I think that this sexist image on women who have multiple sex partners has just been passed down from generation and now guys say it just because thats what they grew up to. When a guy calls a girl a slut its probably just because they grew up to hearing other people call girls sluts for multiple sex partners, I dont know i have no clue that just my guess
Kevin McBride
I think the image of a woman being with a single man deals with back in the day how the wife stayed at home "obedient" while the man did whatever he wanted. In this modern age where sex is much more openly spoken of this idea of woman who sleep with multiple men are sluts needs to be dropped if men can do it too. Personally I'll stick to one girl at a time but that's my choice!

Women really are not treated any different than men would be in this situation. If a man were to sleep with multiple women, he would not be viewed very highly, but the one difference is that when men act in this manor they do not get tagged with any names. I feel as though the reason why people's reactions towards women in those situations is because it is expected of men to cheat, or sleep with multiple women.
I totally agree with you. I noticed years ago that it was ok for a man to sleep with as many women as they want to, with or without a girlfriend, but the minute a women is single and sleeps with men then it is all wrong. A friend of mine was SEEING a girl, decide he would start SEEING another girl, when I called him out on it, it was ok for him to do but not ok for her to do it he said. Then when he found out the girl was seeing someone else and she told him very openly about it,well she was just trash. I don't understand he was doing the exact same think but, she was open about it! It doesn't make any sense. Dawn Smith
i dont think its that sexist i just think thats how it is. being a female i guess its wrong to think this but a girl having multiple sex partners at one time is really slutty. but when you think about a guy doing it it's just like whatever, he's a guy, he's a player. whatever, its just different when girls do it because girls are held up to a higher standard and should have higher morals for themselves. being easy is big sign of being insecure in girls and people can tell. when a guy gets around its just because he's doing what he likes. dont know why thats how it is but i dont think its going to change. sam tomson
unlike most males I believe in celibacy until marriage. That being said. I can only go based upon what I know. From my understanding the reason that is, is because most fathers are very protective over their daughters. Because of this most fathers will do what ever it is they can to keep there daughter(s) safe.
Also it has been scientifically proven that woman mature faster then men do that said more is expected from a woman then a male.
One other thing a man can also be called a hoe.

I've always been kind of curious about this subject. Men can go out and have sex with thousands of woman and a woman will have sex with about... I'll say 5-6 sex partners and she's considered a 'whore' in manys eye. But my only response to this is that it's an old tale that has forever been the same and forever will not be changed. Men are meant to be... men. And women meant to always protect their body and dignity as though it was to greatly cost them their life.

I think it's just the way humans are. Just the way women are viewed. Men have always been the "stronger sex" and women the "weaker sex". I think it's gross for either male or female to have multiple sex partners, that's how STDs get passed around! When you see of tv, "8 kids, 6 different moms, all his?" Then it goes on to say, they are all his, a 7th mother with 2 more kids that are his are thrown into the show, then it pulls out his new girlfriend that has no kids. I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't call him a "player", I would say let me get a good look at him so I know to stay away from him! Multiple sex partners at once just sounds gross to me, having multiple sex partners over a long period of time isn't as bad, male or female.

I think its wrong how the females get treated sometimes. Its not fair that men can have sex with who ever and how ever many poeple they want and not get called anything. Then on the other hand them women get the name as a "whore", "slut", "ho". Its totally unfair. The parents that just makes me mad because there are parents who don't really care if there sons have sex and then when they find out there daughter is have sex. Well i can see a way if they get pissed, because they don't want there daughter getting pregnant. If not then get them on the pill, it will stop the situation in some way. I just think its unfair.

Sadly, there is a double standard with men and women. It seems like society has accepted the fact that men act this way, but women do not get that choice. I think it partially comes from upbringing in the home. I'm not sure why, but parents more than often give more lead way to the boy instead of the girl. I did not have any sisters, but I had a cousin the same age and her curfew was always much earlier than mine. I do not think it should be this was. If a women wants to go out and fornicate to explore her horizons more power to her.
Julius Ervin
No i don't think it's fair. It's probably because we are meant to be the weaker sex. It's like when you walk by and some random guy grabs your ass and what? Are we just supposed to let it go? I guess guys are always thinking or talking about sex so it's normal for them to have multiple sex partners. Women do think about it but we just have more control over talking about it. Everyone expects women to be ladies on the street but act like tigers or cougars in bed.
Samantha Odendaal
well i never understood that either but, like today at school its this boy that i like and everyone says that he is a "ho" and talking to him would be the worst thing to do. the way the girls were talking to me thats how the guys talk to there friends. we all do it, its just that girls dont do it all the time and if it is done its at one of are sleepovers. i think parents play a big role on the sex talk beause growing up my uncles seen nothing wrong with my cousin having sex with many girls but he always said that the girls are a "ho"but i say if the girls are a "ho" then what does that make the male then because they are sleeping with the "ho"

I really think that there is a double standard when it comes to males and females. Too many people were raised believing that if you are a male that you could handle any thing that came your way, but, we all know that is not the truth, because, if it were then why are there homosexuals? More power to the those "little playas" and their double stantdards. Women, stand up for yoursevles! I believe, that people should keep their comments to themselves. People always want to use their childhoods as an excuse for dealing with today's issues." It is always about my "childhood", and how I grew up in the neighborhoods where no one was waching me, so I carried that learning with me threw life , and this is how I am." Multiple lovers are not contagious but, they are factors to consider; like when do you stop sleeping around , actually fall in love with one of your multitude of partners? A woman should have lore respect for herself than that anyway , no real man would even want to sleep with you anyway with that kind of image. He would be thinking of his reputation. Tracey Boswell
I believe that there are many double standards put in place between men and women. but i don't believe that being about to sleep around without being called a whore is the biggest issue out there. for example men in general make 31cents more an hour then women do, for doing the same work, and also women are judged more on how they look then the performance they do in many workplaces. I believe when it comes to women rights, the right for it to be "social acceptable" to sleep around should be last on the list.
Melody Nelligan
There is definitely a bias that men are allowed to sleep around more than women. The question is where does this bias come from? Of course men are going to say it is OK, so conversely, if women are against this behavior, then women should say the opposite. Then women should also say it is fine that women have multiple partners. Seems kind of silly? It is silly. This is a subject of morals, and morals vary from person to person and even from society to society. The only thing for an individual to do about it is pick the people they associate with more carefully, and raise your sons and daughters to hold to a higher moral standard.
David Nadermann
Yes it is a double standard for men and women when it comes to having sex. I feel that both have different out looks when it comes to sex and whether or not you have had multiple partners. A guy could have a girlfriend, sleep with another girl and his girlfriend will be mad at him but forgive him. Then on the other hand if the girlfreind sleeps with another guy, her boyfriend will be so upset and leave her as if she have commited the worse sin. Its sad but true guys can have as my girls as they want, but the girl have to be the one who lives a perfect and flawless life. Hey its a two way street, what good for guys should be good for girls too.
S.Cooper
It isn't right for anyone to have more than one sex partner.
I think sleeping with more than one person is wrong anyway. the purpose of sex was made as a form of reproduction and a true love for the person that you share it with. Now if you truly love that person and for some reason something goes wrong then I think you should wait until you find someone else that loves you like that before just having sex with the next person that walks into your life.
Its not the fact that girls cant have many sex partners, its that is it is wrong for anyone to have them. Sex is a special thing God made for us to reproduce, and share our love for our wifes or husbands.
Cody
I would have to agree with Kevin McBride. Its weird how guys say man i slept with a lot of girls and its cool with them but when a woman sleep with a lot of other men they would consider her as a slut.
MOHAMMED AHMAD
I do think it is a double standard when it comes to men, women, and sex. It is wrong for men and women to sleep around. There is alot of STDs being spreaded, due to so much causual sex. In my eyes, men and women that sleep around is the same. If a person choose to sleep around, that is on them and their body, but, becomes a problem when they start speading dieases. I don't think highly of a men who and would do any and everything to any woman they sleep with. Men would give women oral sex or have unprotected sex, and dont know where she has been; he is just as nasty as that woman who would do any and everything with a man that they just met.
Brittany Williams
I do not think it is fair that men are not seen the same as women. Men get encouraged to have sex with multiple girls, but if girls have sex with multiple guys then no one wants to have anything to do with them. I think this might be because the male is suppose to be dominant and the female is seen as the innocent one. I do not think it is right for parents to be okay with the son having sex and not the daughter.
