What Do You Think About Abortion? Is abortion okay? Why or why not? Is it murder? If no, why do you think this? If someone's ready for sex, shouldn't they also be ready for what consequences it may bring?

Abortion is not okay because...for one you shouldn't have unprotected sex if you're not ready to step up to be a mother. It's always ways around not having a baby use a condom get birth control. Killing the unborn is wrong it is murder you're not giving the child a chance on life. when you lay down think about it first.

Abortion is far from okay. It is completely against the word of God. It is taking away someone’s life before they even get a chance to enjoy it. It is most definitely murder. It is the same as killing someone that is already out of the stomach living. They should be ready for the consequences it may bring but lots of people are having sex as young as 14 and are too young to think about these things. People this young should not be having sex and this mess wouldn’t happen. Abortion should never be an option when someone gets pregnant. There are so many couples that want to have a baby but can’t have one for some reason. The babies that are an accident can be adapted to these people so they can have the chance to live and make a couple really happy. They can all enjoy life together but this can’t happen if people are always thinking abortion when they get pregnant. If some one wants to get an abortion and kill a baby then they should get the death penalty, that’ll teach them.

abortion is okay in some senses. Only when there is something wrong with the baby 100%(the doctors cant always be right) or if the mother has living children and would not survive having another baby due to medical problems. This is a difficult question because I now what it feels like to be that mother that has children and got pregnant and there was a 70% chance of me not living and i had to make the choice of not having that baby. I saved my life to be with my children. I believe that if abortion is going to be made legal that the stem cell research should be used to help the people that need the regrowth of parts in their bodies. Is it murder? well i dont know about that. I cant answer that question because i believe that it is murder but only if you are using abortions as a birth control.

Abortion is not okay. When they decide to have unprotected sex and get pregnant then they should have to live with that decision. There are ways not to get pregnant and they should be used. If they don't want the baby there are many people who would love to have a child. The mother should not have the right to end a life. If they are not ready to have a child then they need to keep their legs closed.

i think abortion is completly wrong. i think that if you are going to have sex, you need to be ready just incase you have a baby. it is not the baby's fault for your wrong doings...the baby is completly innocent. it's not right for you to go out and kill the child. if you are raped, i understand how you can think about getting an abortion, but then again, i don't think i'd get an abortion. i would put it up for adoption for someone who wants a baby but can't have one. there are many things you can do to help the baby if you can't, you just have to be mature enough to do what you have to do. not just be heartless & kill the baby.
what if you were a child who your mom wanted to abort? how would you feel? "oh, my mom hates me. she never wanted me, she wanted to kill me" thinking it that way changes a lot. you're being heartless. in my opinion.

Yes, abortion is murder. It is a life that is being taken away from the earth. I think that if someone were to have sex and become pregnant than they should have to take responsibilty for their actions. If they get pregnant and do not wish to have a child then they should give the child up for adoption. But with the amount of children waiting to be adopted I think that keeping the child would be the best thing to do. In keeping the child it could be the best choice that the person has ever made. I think that in having abortion legalized the govenment is saying that it is okay to not take any responsibility for ones actions. Murder is against the law, so abortion, which is a form of murder, should also be against the law.

I'm against Abortion in all cases except when carrying a baby will put the mother's life in danger and some other rare cases, such as when a baby is conceived through rape or incest AND has little chance of being born healthy.
I view most cases of abortion as murder. I am against murder.
Those who argue that the world can't sustain all the babies that would be born that are now aborted might be right, but I think it makes more sense to let old people (80+) die and decrease the population that way. Why kill our young before they have a chance at life? What difference does it make if the baby is 2 months or 12 months old, or if it's inside or outside the mother's body? Makes no difference to me!

I am okay with abortion. There are millions of embryos aborted every year. If they were not aborted, how can the world fit all those babies? Especially in poor countries like India and Africa. If not aborted, these babies will suffer and die before they reach the age of five anyway. I don't like the idea of killing innocent babies, but I also don't want children to suffer.

I think abortion is almost always wrong. Morally wrong. No, abortion is not okay. It's not okay because it's murder, which is morally and legally wrong. I think people should have as much sex as they want to after they are 18 but if they get pregnant they have to have (and support) the baby. Why not adoption? I mean, duh.

Some people need to check their facts. Here are some stattistics I find on the net:
The Number of abortions per year WORLDWIDE is about 42 Million.
The Number of abortions per day WORLDWIDE is about 115,000.
Most (83%) abortions occur in developing countries.
The number of abortions per year in the United States is only 1.4 million, about 3,700 per day.\
That's really not that many considering how many babies are not aborted.
For you liberals who think taht too many abortions are occur, please tell me how we will care for all these babies? We can't afford it!

I think that abortion is ok in some circumstances. In the case of rape and when the mothers' life is at stake. It's not ok if the woman is using it as a form of birth control. There are other ways to control pregnancy. I do think that if you are engaging in sex you have to ready to deal with the consequences. It is a hard place to be and I hope that you never have to make that choice.

I think abortion should be illegal unless some circumstances come into play. I Do not think it is ok but if the mother is going to die when she gives birth I think she should have a say in what to do. Also if a woman didn't give consent and she was raped should she have a choice too? Either way abortion is murder but if the mother knows she is going to die when she gives birth thats another death. It might not be as extreme as murder but who can put a price on which life is more. If someone is ready for sex they should be safe and know the consequences and not plan on abortion if they weren't safe. Like i said before i think there is only 1 maybe 2 situations where abortion should be considered but it still doesn't make it ok.

Abortion is sometimes the best option. Not often, but sometimes. I had an abortion when I was 15 (almost 16) because my boyfriend, who was 20, broke up with me and left town when he found out I was pregnant. I wanted to marry him and have our baby. My mom and I talked to my doctor, and he told us I had a problem that needed to be fixed before I gave birth. He said that if I had this baby, the baby would probably die plus I would never be able to have babies again. I always wanted a big family with many children, so when I heard this I decided to have the abortion--not to kill my first baby but to allow my future babies to live. I now have 4 children and am expecting another in November. The way I look at it is I saved the lives of my current children by having my first (and only) abortion. I know some people would not see it this way, but I did what I felt I had to do. I have told my oldest son (13) about my abortion, and he said I did the right thing but that he wished he could have met his older brother or sister. That made me cry but it also made me realize what a great family I have. I do wish I had somewhere I could go to visit the memory of my unborn first child.
But is abortion ALWAYS wrong? I have to say no.

Abortion is murder. Just because you can't see or hold the baby doesn't mean it's not there. Personally I could never get one, knowing how many people out there pray to get pregnant and can't. I would never take a life, even if I didn't have to be the doctor that did it. I think girls that have sex should be able to deal with the consequences. If they know they can't take care of the baby, adoption, not abortion.

I believe there are two sides to abortion. One side is a girl gets preganant because she didn't use birth control and they guy didn't use protection. They realize they are are not and do not want to have this kid. But it is there mistake that they made this child. They should have known better to have done this. I believe in this case abortion is wrong! They knew the consequences of sex without protection yet they still did it. The second case would be a women gets raped and she gets preganant. This baby is not made from love but hate and torment. i can see that a women would not want to have a baby that has so much hurt against it. I believe that someone could get an abortion in this case. Most of the time the women doesn't love the baby and actually hates it and the baby will have a bad life. I mean what if you had to take care of a baby that had so much pain attached to it. There are two sides to every story even abortion.

I would have done it if i ever have to. I rather give a birth to someone that i would be able to give the best life to it, my self not anybody else not a foster parent. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

I think that abortion is wrong. If you are not ready to have a baby then you should not be having sex. If you chose to have sex and get pregnant then it is your falt. If you don't want to keep the baby you could look into adoption giving the baby to a someone who can't have kids instead of having an abortion.

It is very easy to sit back and judge what you consider right and wrong, but until you are in that situation, you don't always know what is best. If you found out that your Mother or sister was pregnant and her life was in danger because her body would not be able to handle the pregnancy, what would you want her to do? Are you willing to watch your Mom or sister sacrifice her life so your sibling or niece/nephew can live because you think she is a murderer if she doesn't?

I think abortions are wrong, but when you have an abortion, the dead feduses are used to cure, fight, and repair diseases and dieing tissue of other people. There are deffinately two sides to this.
If two people are ready for sex wear a condom or possibly two, one for you and one for her, that way they will have a less of a chance to get a baby. It's common sense.

I am 100% against abortion, mainly because I feel that, if you can lay down and have sex with a person, you can take care of a child. The only way to prevent getting pragnant is to not have sex at all. So when your being sexually active you're takin a risk, and all risk come along with conseqences whether good or bad! Most people do say that they're not ready to have a child or not finacially set to care for a child, well Don't have sex and abortion wouldn't be an option!
