Out of the middle east?

Ever since President Obama was put into office he has been moving toward getting all American soldiers out of the middle east. Some people believe that we aren't doing any good over seas. Do you think we should just pull out of the middle east? What if when we leave, everything goes back to the way it was over there? What if the absence of American involvement causes things to get worse and there is another attack?

We never should of got involved in Iraq in the first place. But we should keep our presence up in Afghanistan and continue to look for Bin Laden. I believe that Obama made the right decision to pull our troops out of Iraq and focus on the real problem.

the middle east is a place of violence and war. it has been that way for hundreds and hundreds of years. for americans to think that we can just take over a country and change that is compleatly stupid. the middle east is going to go back to the way it was no matter how long america stays in it. i see it as the sooner were out the less american lives are lost, then they can get back to bombing eachother.

America has way to many problems as it is and we do not need to go in another counrty and try to take over and make things work our way there. It just doesnt work out like we want. I think we should get out of there and mind our own business. Do something about the bad things that are happening in America. If we pull out and they go back to the way they where before we helped them then to bad for them. Let them kill each other it is not our problem. We need to save our soldiers for a fight that can be won not a fight that will be fought till the end of time.

I think that we still have unfinished business. People keep on saying that all of the troops should be pulled out. but if we were to leave, just like that, then we would become targets because we have promised to stay and help until they can take care of things themselves. I think that if we were to leave right now things would start to go back to the way that it was. I think that we still have some more things to teach them and that they still need our help. I would hope that some day all of the soldiers will be able to come home, but we have made the comitment to help and we should hold true to that comitment.

I think everyone should be pulled outof the middle east. It doesn't really seem like anything is gettin acomplished over there anyways. If everything goes back to the way it was they are guna have to figure a way to fix it. If we can't do it, someone else will have to try. We don't want another attack, so maybe someone should talk to whoever is leading that place and figure out what they can do. If nothing can be decided we don't have many other opintions so it probably won't end very good.

I agree with Matt in his statement that the Middle East is always going to be in turmoil. It is a historical fact. They have been at war with their neighbors for thousands of years. Just when they get things built up a little, someone comes along and blows it up! At that rate nobody gains anything. But maybe that is the intent; if I can't have it neither can you. I don't understand that way of thinking at all. I do think that however Bin Laden needs to go! He struck at the heart of America and we can't let that happen ever again.
Are we going to change the way the people in that county live, probably not. That is something they will have to do for themselves.

We should stop going over to the middle east. The middle east is not going to change just because we keep sending on people over there. To keep having our soldier dying over there is not fair to us; to lose people we care about in a country that is not looking to change. Obama should pull our soldiers out. We can only do so much for a country that wants to change.

This is a hard question.. I do think we have been over there long enough and the troops need to be sent home. Specially since President did say that is what he wanted to do. And has not happened yet. America is always helping out everyone else when it comes down to helping us no one is around to help. I do feel like America had developed many more problems since then and we need start dealing with those.

I don't really have the knowledge to really speak on this, but in some ways I believe they should bring our soldiers home.

I'm glad he's pulling them from over there. We have lost so many already, we cant just take over for them. They have their own lives and we were just in the way

I think we eventually should but slowly. Things aren't completely restored over there and pulling all the troops out right away is just a sign of weakness i think. Terroist will just get in there and take over again if we dont stay and help them establish a solid government. Things have gotten better but there is still fighting going on. I think the best thing to do would be stay there and slowly pull them out until all order is restored.

I think that we should start to slowly pull soilders out of the middle east. If we pull all of them out at the same time then it would cause mass confusion. But if over the next few years we gradualy pull them out them it would be okay. I would love for all the soilders to come home. I have a cousin over there right now and I would love to know he was safe at home. They have to do what is right and that is stay over there for just a little longer.

I am from middle east. I dont understand why is America too worried about other countries?!! did america sign a contract with god to make the world a better place?!! What seems to be the problem is that us people from middle east are very protective over our land and just like how we dont bother or make comments to america we expect the same. Unfortunately we do get called Terrorists because of us being all over our lands and not wanting america in there, we fight back and according to americans that makes us terrorists. i really think it is about time for all them poor soldiers to come back home and stop being all over our lands.

Most people are blind to what is really going on overseas. They only know what the media tells them. Unfortunately it's usually just the bad stuff, due to the media only covers what sells. As a person that has been to both war fronts, and has personally been involved in the whole situation, and who does not agree with the way missions are being acted out over there; I also feel that pulling out would be the worst move the US could make. Everything would go back to the way it was, and that would almost guarantee another attack on the US. Should we have been involved in the first place? Maybe, maybe not (I think so) but the fact is we did get involved, and that we can't pull out now.

First the question is not correct. While decreasing US presence in Iraq, Obama is increasing troop numbers in Afganistan. We have even been crossing the border and going after AlQuada in Pakistan. I believe the decision to expand the war in the effort to get Bin Laden is a mistake as millions of Pakistani people have become refugees due to the expanded war.

Many Americans falsely believe that Obama is pulling out. What he might be creating is WW3. European press also reports that Obama has been threatening Iran with an attack if they pursue nuclear weapons. Iran in hundreds of years has never threatened or invaded another country. The US encouraged Sadaam Hussein to invade Iraq. We gave him lots of weapons and he did just that.

Even if we wanted to pull out of the Middle East, it just will not happen. We are there for one reason and that is to surround Iran. Iran and North Korea are the only two countries that we do not have military bases in. I bet you that we will invade Iran within the next 20 years. With this in play, we will have 99.9% world dominance.
