Save animals in danger of extinction?

There are over 1100 mammal species, 1200 bird species, and 1811 species of amphibians that are endangered. When I think of endangered species I think of the Giant Pandas or Tigers, but the truth is there are thousands of species of all classifications that are endangered of being wiped out. Do you think that we as humans who have caused most of these animals to become as threatened as they are should continue to try to save them? What could you do to help protect these animals? Do you think that we should just allow these species to die off? How could we help these species to thrive once again?

I do believe it is our fault for having most of the animals go extinct in the world today. I do think that as humans its our duty to help re populate and save much of these animals from extension.I think that we should still have zoos to protect the animals that are very close from being wiped out, and i think that hunting should start to become illegal to certain animals that are starting to become very low in their population such as pandas and so on.I don't think we should let the animals just die off their alive just as much as we are and we shouldn't just let them die off because people want to continue to hunt them down. When it comes to getting them to thrive again I pretty much already said it i think it should be illegal to hunt specific animals and if there close to becoming extinct i think they need to go to zoos so they can re-populate.

Yes, those that are endangered species need all the help we can give them. The only way I can think of American people helping is by donating money, or land. no I don't think we should let them die off, God put them here for a reason, just like us. Maybe we can put them on some land of their own habitat and let them multiply. Latonya

Species become extinct. It’s the way that nature works. Dinosaurs, mammoths, and a ridiculous amount of other species have already become extinct. However, I do believe that mankind does have a certain liability to preserve species that have been endangered due to man’s exploitation of the earth. These are the species that we have a direct responsibility over, and as such we should all practice our inner conservationist and pitch in!

I don’t have an enormous amount to say on this topic, but looking at the issue through a scientific scope certainly brings up some problems. For example, a great majority of our drugs are produced via living organisms. Now, how do we know that a future disease won’t be cured by something that is living right now? Eco-systems have the most evolutionary power in the world; always changing and adapting to the environment. There may very well be resistances out there that we have no idea about, and we are simply letting these species perish. Personally, I believe that is extremely irresponsible, and as such, we should be doing our best collectively to solve this problem.

I also believe we are at fault for the endangerment of so many species. We are now destroying the rain forest, think about all the species we don't even know about that we are killing. If I could help I would. Definitely we should not let any more species die.

The human population has increased over the centuries to a point where it has started to burden the earth. Increase in human population means a natural increase in habitation of the natural terrain and greater consumption of resources. In order to meet the demands of the increasing Homo sapiens, acts of deforestation and animal hunting take place. Not only that but an increase in human population also means that animals and other species are driven out of their natural habitat, and due to that most animals suffer extreme environmental hazards and die out.
Increased number of human beings meant that a larger number of animals were being hunted, and over the course of the centuries, hundreds of species have already died out at the hands of man due to excessive hunting.

One of the most important ways to help threatened plants and animals survive is to protect their habitats permanently in national parks, nature reserves or wilderness areas. There they can live without too much interference from humans. It is also important to protect habitats outside reserves such as on farms and along roadsides. Some areas have groups which look after local lands and nature reserves. They do this by removing weeds and planting local native species in their place. You could join one of these groups, or even start a new one with your parents and friends.

Yes I think that animals are precious and should not be mistreated just because of man's greed for money and a reputation for being a "great hunter." I believe that society should continue to save as many animals as possible. Maybe contribute to the organizations that are trying to protect the animal species. No because that is just like the way the world is working, eliminating humans, one race at a time. I believe that if we continue to capture the poulters who are making the money off these animals and continue to protest against people who are taking "wild" animals and are trying to turn them into family pets.

I think we as humans are the reason why most animals are becoming threatened because a lot of humans enjoy hunting as a hobby. The way we could help these animals is having harsher punishment for those killing endangered species. I also think maybe stop the hunting for the year to let certain animals reproduce and try to get them off the endangered species lists. Maybe another thing is only letting hunter take only one instead of more than one of the same animal. I think we could just monitor the endangered species a little bit more.

I don't believe that humans are the cause of animals going extinct, but i do believe we play a large part in it. We hunt animals, tear down their habitats an down there harmful factors. To protect the animals i think we should just be more aware of not harming them stop polluting the air can help the animals and humans. All in around we have to care more for a animals and nature because ewe all need each other to survive

I believe that we need to help the endangered animals as much as possible. Donating money to an organization that raises money to help the endangered animals would be a great way to contribute so certains species can go on for many more years. I think the best way to help endangered species would be to separate certain species so they can reproduce to expand their species. Extinction is going to happen to many of the endangered species because there have been many species that have already been extinct such as dinosaurs. I do believe that humans have something to do with why more and more species are endangered because people are hunting the endangered animals such as polar bears. Humans should stop or at least cut down on cutting down trees in the rainforest and other things because animals need some of those things to keep their species going.

I strongly agree that it is our fault that having most of the animals extinct in the world today. As humans its our responsibility to help repopulate and save as many animals before they become extinct.I think this is why zoos are a good thing to protect them, it could also help repopulate them as well. We also shouldn't be able to hunt that should become illegal to certain animals where there are barely any left. We shouldn't let the animals die off their lives are just as important as ours.

I do feel like humans are the main cause for the extinction of animals. We have tore down aniamals homes to build buildings and towns. We have captured animals just to put them in a zoo for some sort of entertainment. I think we could help this problem by having more wildlife reservatioins and restrictions on wild life. We could give animals a safe place to live and stop destroying their homes. Also not allowing the hunting of a lot of animals. No we should not allow them to die, especially since they were here befor us. Earth was a place that was suppose to be simple nd easy and we have completly changed the way of life. I'm not against technology at all but there are a lot of things we should not have done through out history. Providing for animals is something that i feel is very important. If it were up to me i'd take a small portion of taxes and apply them tho animal fundings and other things.

I really dont have much to say about this topic, because, i really dont care too much. Sad, but true. I just look at it as the way the world works. Animals become extinct. However, I do think that there are some things we can do to stop it. I dont see why hunting animals is allowed. Doesnt make any sense to me.

We need to figure out something to keep even one more species from becoming extinct. It is because of us taking more and more of the natural habitats up that these species are suffering, that means it is our responsibility to figure out a solution to these upcoming disasters. We, as humans have SO much technology that we use on making money instead of helping the living, be it animals or our fellow humans. We need to realize before it's too late what is really important.

I believe that us as humans should continue to help the animals and make sure they are not threatened. Some people hunt and think it is okay to kill animals even though they are on the verge of being extinct. If we let the species die out then we would be missing out of nature. If we slowly start letting certain animals die, we would slowly stop caring about our world. Plants would die out and our world as we know it wouldn't be as beautiful as it is.

yes, i believe we should try and save them because they contribute to the world. not only do the animals help contribute as a food source for us humans but they also are one reason why the world so a sight to see. its always a great feeling when you can go some where and see an animal that you have never seen before. i not sure of what i can do, but im sure one thing would be to stop hunting and only hunt animal that are over, over-populated. no as i said before they, the animal contribute to the scenery of the world and if that is gone then the world would be an ugly place to me because i wont be able to try food i have never had before or i wont be able to see an animal i have never seen before. by enclosing them so then cant be hunted of killed, and breeding them until they have some strong numbers and release them back to the wild. and start doing studies on why certain animals are not surviving on their own and relocate those animal to an enviroment where they would survive.

Along with you, I also only think about the Pandas, or species of Tigers that you hear about being endangered, because honestly growing up in school, I feel like that is majority of what they tell you. No one ever really tells you just how many species of animals are truly endangered. I think we should try to save them, but as I say that, I honestly have no clue how we would do that. How have humans caused so many species to become endangered? How do we know it's not just the environment the animal lives in? That it's not being eaten or killed off by another more powerful animal? I would love to help save endangered species and I believe for a number of species we could, but as for all of them? I think we should do what we can to an extent, but if the majority of the reason is because of nature and their environment, then I feel we should leave it alone.. It's the circle of life.

Yes i think that humans are the reason for certain animals becoming extinct. Due to poachers or the human race taking over the environment where they live. And yes i think that humans should try to save them sense we are, for the most part, the reason they are endangered. And i think have endangered animals in zoo's help protect them from becoming extinct.

I think we should try to save them yes, but we only really need to protect them from ourselves cause like you said we are the ones causing it. They were doing just fine until we started hunting them or taking their homes. I do my part in trying to save any animal (that are not raised as food or are so abundant that they are hunted for food) by taking a somewhat Buddhist approach to it… if I see one in the way of harm (not imminent danger) I will move it calmly out of the way (including insects) but that is about it.. I live and let live. One way we can help protect these species is to make the crime of killing one or even hunting them much more sever and I mean much more. As for me protecting them directly? Well I don’t love in an area where there are many endangered species that I know of so I am not really able to help there. I for one do not want to let any of these magnificent creatures die off… to have stories of them be akin to myth and legend I want them to continue to survive so that my children and my children’s children can enjoy them. And the only thing we may have to do to make sure that they begin to thrive in the wild and not captivity would be to locate a male and female and move one of them (I think the female more often than not) into the territory of the other that gives them a chance of finding each other and giving them the chance of breeding. As long as we leave them alone as much as possible they should be able to survive on their own quite well. Anything else like artificially impregnating a female and you don’t know if the mother will not accept the child because she has to accept the male so again a minimalistic approach I think is best so these creatures are still wild and thriving rather than us having to cater to them to keep them alive and healthy…

I don't believe that it is all our fault that some species are endangered. I believe some of it has to do with humans, and part of it has to do with natural selection. Some species are bound to go extinct through the ways of mother nature and their surrounding species. I think that we should try to save the species that we can, if possible. Especially if it is a species that we are to blame for making them endangered. The things that we can do to help are already being done, such as giving the animals protected spaces to live.

Yes, we should continue to preserve the endangered species, plants, animals, etc. Every plant and animal form has a purpose on this plant or it would not be necessary. All plants produce oxygen for us to breath and every animal species has a food chain purpose, regulating populations. Furthermore, life cycles help keep the earth preserved. My meaning is animals eat animals creating waste which fertilizes the soil causing plant life to grow. We should protect and replenish what we reap in order to keep our world functioning properly.

I do feel that it is our responsibility to save these animals, because we are the reason for them being threaten the most. Me personally, I'm scared of some of them, but I would give donations to those who have come up with a reasonable way to help save these animals from extinction. It would be very cruel and inhumanly to just let them die off, every living creature has a right to be on this earth. I feel we need to find a spot that these animals can live in peace, and make it against the law to kill them, and enforce that law to the fullest.

Yes, I think that we have some part of fault with the endangered animals. A way we could help protect these animals is to stop cutting down the rainforest. We are killing innocent animals that deserve a life. We also need to stop polluting the air!! I think that we could just pay more attention to the things were doing like hunting and give it a break for a while and think to ourselves they were put on this earth for reason.
