At this time in some states, abortion is legal in the United States. Do you think it should be legal or illegal? What about women under 18, do you think they need parental consent? Or is it their decision? Do you think some young people have sex because they know there are so many ways out of becoming a parent?

Illegal...If you're over eighteen it's your decision you're grown it's your body. No one should tell you what to do when it comes to having a baby, and your belly it's up to you and the unborn father. I think most teens have sex because they want to fit in with the friends, some do it becasue they like how it feel and it's also girls out there that have sex because there trying to have a baby,because they want someone to always love them.
I think that abortion should be illegal. there is no reason for there to be a choice in killing your baby that you know could have been the outcome when having sex. i say, that if you think you're mature enough to mess around and have sex, you're mature enough to have a baby if it happens. It's not the baby's fault you got pregnant...nobody should punish the baby by killing it...& no, i don't think anybody need to have parental consent on it. it's their body, their choice. sure, kids uner 18 who want a tattoo or piercings need parental consent & we might say "well, it's my body i do what i want with it" but this isn't nearly the same thing as that. this is talking about killing an innocent baby.
i don't think that younger people realize what they could get themselves into until they're put in that situation...they might think about it and say 'hey, i could get an abortion, i could take plan B and i wouldnl't have to deal with it' but that's what they say before they have sex...not when it's actually happening. i just think people need to think more about what they're doing..
Abortion should be illegal. If your younger than 18 or not, if the person that having sex was mature then they should have been ready for what it may bring. It's murder in my eyes. The baby didn't do anything to deserve the punishment.

I think it should be legal because some women who have abortions are ones that were raped and had no choice in whether or not she wanted this baby. This way if it was legal she would always have that choice. I think girls under the age of 18 need a parents consent because their parents are still their guardians and there are health risks in getting an abortion. No I don't think young people have sex because there are ways out of becoming a parent. I don't even think young kids think they could get pregnant they don't think of the consequences of sex.

I think that abortion should be illegal everywhere.In my opinion abortion is murder, its taking a life. I do think that people under 18 should have parental consent because they are not mature enough to make a decision like that. Yes, i do believe that some people have sex because there are so many ways of getting out of getting pregnant. I think that if abortion is made legal every where then we aren't making people responsible for their actions. If you are responsible enough to have sex than you should be responsible enough to not comitt murder and to responsibility for the little life you have created.

Abortion should be illegal. At the age of eighteen that person is conside to be an adult and have the right to make their own decision. There are many ways not to get pregnant in the first place. So if someone gets an abortion then that means they didn't want to get pregnant, so they should be using protection so not to get pregnant. Babies don't asked to be conceive, but when they are they should be given the right to live.

Abortion should be legal. Only because there are so many situations when the baby is better off not coming to this horrible world. What is a girl was rapped? What if she would have no help and having a baby would just make it harder to survive for the both of them? I personally don't believe in abortion, but I do think every woman has the right to do what she wants with her own body. No one can tell her what to do, not even if they try. No matter the age, every girl should be able to decide for herself. I don't think young people are having sex becase they're are was out of having babies exactly. Birth control could be a reason more and more teens are having sex but I don't think that's the whole reason. Some want to feel needed and some just like sex or want to try it out.

legal or not people will find a way to not have a baby. At the age of 18 you should be able to do what you please with your body, so therefore no one should have control over them. I think that the only legalized abortion should be to those with major medical problems that could cause death at the time of delivery or short after delivery. Women using abortion as a birth control are very wrong for killing an inncocent child. There are so many women and men that can not have children due to there biological problems or they are in a same sex relationship/marriage. Those people would love to care for a child. Young women need to think about what they are doing to themselves when they have abortions. That act stays with you for the rest of your life. even if you try to stop thinking about what was done it always comes back in your mind. You end up questioning yourself on where you would be and would you have more children, and so on. Birth control was put on the market to be used to women would not have to worry about getting pregnant and what they would do with a baby. If a person has an abortion due to major medical reasoning it should be legal but other than that it should not be allowed. We have legalized it now so making illegal would cause so many problems. Women would find ways to get rid of an unwanted baby. It could possibly harm the woman to where she could no longer have children or even get so sick that they could die. This is a hard question to answer.

I don't think that abortion should be illegal. If you are pregnant and want to abort your baby it's your decision. Maybe the child would have a horrible life if it is born into this world, and it's better to abort the child. I don't think that it should be called murder; it should be called an operation instead.

In the first place, it is legal in all of the states in the US. If we try to make it illegal, women will find a way to have one anyway. Some will go to other countries to have it done and others will go to back alley doctors where it will get done under unsafe and or dangerous conditions. Before it was legal women died from botched abortions all the time. Yes I think that if you are under the age of 18 you should have to have your parents consent. You should also have to undergo counseling to prevent it from happening again.

It should be illegal for people to get an abortion. I kind of think they would need to get parental consent in a way. If they keep the baby, the parents would be the one taking care of the baby for the child. They shouldn’t need parental consent because it would be the child’s baby and they should have a say in it. I don’t think there is a lot of ways out of becoming a parent. The only way that someone won’t get pregnant for sure is by not having sex. Teens shouldn’t be having sex at all and people should give the baby up for adoption if they don’t want to keep the baby.

this is the second blog about abortion and like I said in the other one, I don't know about anyone elses situation or circumstance, I don't live in their shoes. Who am I to judge, I AM NOT GOD!
I think it should be legal to a certain extent. In some situations I think it may be ok. When a woman is raped or if the mother is going to die when she gives birth. I dont know how much I agree with it but when put in situations like that i feel that option should be open to the woman. But just having a abortion because you dont want the kid, that should be illegal. I think it should on be legal depending on those certain circumstances. There is plenty of adoption agencies that families would be more than willing to love a child. Or because you made a mistake then thats something you will have to grow up and learn but a life shouldn't be take because of it. I think it should be illegal unless another life is in trouble or the woman did not give consent.

Abortion is never the ideal option, but it must remain legal to have an abortion. I had an abortion when I was 15 (almost 16) because my boyfriend, who was 20, broke up with me and left town when he found out I was pregnant. I wanted to marry him and have our baby. My mom and I talked to my doctor, and he told us I had a problem that needed to be fixed before I gave birth. He said that if I had this baby, the baby would probably die plus I would never be able to have babies again. I always wanted a big family with many children, so when I heard this I decided to have the abortion--not to kill my first baby but to allow my future babies to live. I now have 4 children and am expecting another in November. The way I look at it is I saved the lives of my current children by having my first (and only) abortion. I know some people would not see it this way, but I did what I felt I had to do. I have told my oldest son (13) about my abortion, and he said I did the right thing but that he wished he could have met his older brother or sister. That made me cry but it also made me realize what a great family I have. I do wish I had somewhere I could go to visit the memory of my unborn first child.
For cases such as mine abortion must remain a legal option for women, though I hope they don't choose to have one unless they have to, as I did.

It is very easy to sit back and judge what you consider right and wrong, but until you are in that situation, you don't always know what is best. If you found out that your Mother or sister was pregnant and her life was in danger because her body would not be able to handle the pregnancy, what would you want her to do? Are you willing to watch your Mom or sister sacrifice her life so your sibling or niece/nephew can live because you think she is a murderer if she doesn't?

I think that abortion should be illegal. If you don't want to keep the baby you can always give it up for adoption. If you think that you are mature enough to have sex then I think you should be mature enough to have the baby. If you are not ready to have a kid then you should not be having sex till you are ready.

I am split down the middle on this issue. It is a good thing because of research on the dead fetuses, and it is a bad thing because it is a dead being, in some cases it is murder. I think if a teenager is pregnant the teenager should have the choice, but most of the time they are influenced by their parents. People have sex for lots of reasons.
