Big Bang or Creationism?

Ever since the first human came to be on planet earth, we have been asking questions and trying to find answers to everything. One question still remains unanswered: how did we come into existence? Was there a big explosion or “Big Bang” that started it all, or were we created by a higher power. If we were created, did He just create us or did He create the entire universe, too?
Is there any concrete proof to support either idea? Or will this question continue to go on unanswered?

what a good question!! i have wondered this all my life. ive looked at the "scientific" side and ive looked at the "supreme being" side, and all i can say is, anything is possible! who knows where we came from!! there has been speculation pointing in both directions, and it could make one feel like the wizard of oz's scarecrow is telling us which way to go. i personally would lean more toward the "scientific" side, only for the simple fact of how do we know the bible isn't just a collection of stories made up by a group of people and they called it "the word" and said, "this is how we came about, believe us". but then again, they say there is only one god...ok...and they say that the greek and roman gods are mythological...how do we know they didn't/don't actually exist? all of that is all in what you choose to believe in. i think darwin was onto something more promising, making more sense, when he came up with his theory of evolution. honestly, i don't think that we, as the human race, will ever truly know how we were created.

I believe that God created everything but I also believe that there will always be debates and more people trying to prove different theories on how the earth was created. I do not know that there will ever be concrete evidence for either one of the theories. I think it is just a belief like any other belief that will always be argued about because everyone is going to have a different opinion.

From my own personal belief, I believe that God created everything. I do also feel that God created the universe too. I dont really know to much information about the "Big Bang" but i do know that God has came through for me in alot to stations in my life.

These are questions that have plagued human beings for many ages. I don't think that there is a short easy answer to these questions. I think that what it comes down to is individual beliefs. The only thing that I think that we can all agree on is that everything around us had a beginning. There was a time in which everything that can be observed by the naked eye came into being at some point. Now applying the same train of thought to the origin of the universe I would ask the question why we would be any different. We know that we exist. We perceive things around us and we know through logic that materials/objects at one time were not in existence. If you were to say that a big bang started it all then you must conclude that there must have been a reason why. We are the product of cause and effect. Some force (whether we call it God or not) set things in motion (cause) and from this things (material/objects/natural laws/humans) were created (effect). I think that using both our rationale and logic is proof enough to support this conclusion.

I have more of a neutal belief. I believe God created the universe as part of a grand design. God created life on certain planets. As for the the life itself, evolution took over that concept. Humans and the other speices evolved from a primitive ancestor.

I believe this is a question that can not be answered. I believe this is a debate that only those who have passed from this world can answer. You can also ponder the fact that God created the "Big Bang." In that case everyone is right.

I believe that the universe was created by God. He created and planned everything. Although some people have other perspectives of how the universe was created.

I believe that god said let there be light, and there was light. I also believe that he said let there be existance and thats why we are hear today. I say this with pure belief, evidence is hard to show and each person may have their own opinion on why everything is the way it is. This question is not easy to answer nor is there very much evidence to back any of this up. It is simply your belief and what you feel is right or wrong in your mind.

God created everything...at least that what I believe. But I also think that there will be constant debate over the subject because of all the different theories floating around. This is something I feel very strong on and I think that what we learned in High School about evolution was o.k. for some people but not for me, but that's another debate all together! God created the Universe, animals, people everything around us. We may not be able to explain it, or see Him, but we also cant see the wind, but we know it's there.

Um, this question will continue to go unanswered . . . both by me and everyone else until the day God comes down from the heavens and clarifies his existence. If there IS a God in the heavens, I can believe he created the universe, the whole shebang, but I can't believe there's a God in the heavens who's both all good and all powerful because there's just too much evidence to the contrary. The minute a child suffers, there's something wrong, and if God allows for that, he's either not all good or not all powerful. I don't buy the idea that he's working in mysterious ways.

I side with big bang over creation, but I'm really hope I'm wrong!

I don't believe that this question could be answered 100%. Many people believe various things. I personally believe that the earth and universe were created through science. I learn and believe science only because it is something you can see and may be easier to understand. I am not stating that I do not believe in god what so ever but in my mind it is easier to just stick with science.

I believe if god created everything then he had something to do with the begining of science and the world(big bang).Either thoery is possible,I can't really say I believe one more then the other. the bible has been around for many Millenniums and we dont really know if it has ever been drastically modified when it was translated, and as for the science it might answer a question but the question changes everyday so, your in the same place where you started.

This a very controversial topic that can only be answered according to your own beliefs. I had a Catholic science teacher back in junior high that really had a good thought. I agree with the teacher. The big bang theory makes sense on how the world could have been created. What caused the big bang to happen? I feel that God caused the big bang theory happen and the world was created. The bible does not exactly say how God created the world. The right answer though just depends on your personal belief.

I really don't think we will ever really know how we can to existence let alone the universe, but persosnallyn I don't believe in god, therefore don't think he created us or the universe. There's so many different religions with different stories and none of them have full proof evidence. The big bang theory is just that, a theory and i believe that it is more believable than god created the earth and humans. Another thing is if god did create us who created god? It's basically a never ending chain of unexplainable events, and the religion aspect of where we came from is a good way tpo give people reason to do good and to have hope when they die. The big bang theory is using science to explain how the universe came to be. Basically, we will never know and yes this question will go unanswered.

I personally believe god created us, from what i've been taught my whole life. The bible says in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth. And it seems to me although people argue that the bible was created by different people and has been revised over and over. it seems to me to be a living word because its the only book i know that tells past, presence, and future. I guess for those who don't kno god, would argue its something scientific, this seems like a subject that's based on ones personal belief.

I think this question will be continued to be asked as it has been for many many years. The reason for this is because there is no proof and there will never be. I think people who believe in creationism base their belief on faith. I for one, do believe in creationism and that something had to initiate the creation of this universe. I believe that God created all living things and that we all are a product of him. I base this belief on faith in my religion and my faith in God. I think this question will be continued to be debated over for the rest of time.

Being raised in the Christian church, I have always believed in the existance of God. I do not believe in the Big Bang theory, and I think that it will continue to go unanswered because I don't think they will find evidence for something that did not happen. However, I think that they debate will continue to go on until the end of time, and theologists and scientists will each find different pieces of evidence that slightly disproves the other theory.

I'm honestly neutral on this question. I don't really have an answer. I do believe in God somewhat, but I also believe in science matters. I feel as though no matter much searching is done, it will never be answered. So therefore, I just don't question what has been done. There will always be something that comes up with how the universe is created.
