When your working with others, you need to be focused and alert. Chances are if your on drugs this will probably not be the case! Many people get hurt on the job, just because they are on drugs. Since this can be prevented, I think there should be drug testing in the work force to avoid such problems. Health care cost are probably threw the ruff,do to such carelessness. Keep it Clean~~

i think that they sould be. i think that they want test just to see if you are clean or not. if not i bet that you wont get the job because who would want to fire a drug user. drug test should be used if they want to. not every body will give drug test. safety is a big concern because if you drive a semi truck you can hurt a lot of people in no time. it is required to drive a semi and i like that rule. maybe drugs could help work better but i have no clue

Before I started my job this summer, i had to take two drug tests and three physicals. I agree that drug tests should be taken before you work because who wants a pothead to work for them and represent their company? I know i sure wouldn't want the money that i pay my employees to go into illegal schemes. If i had to work with druggies, i can guarantee that i would be less productive because i would be distracted by the smell, appearance, and performance of the other employees who do that stuff.

Certain drug tests for certain drugs are necessary. For example, someone who cant concentrate shouldn't have a job until they can do that. Although, some drugs don't affect the way you work, some actually make you work better. So, overall drug tests are not necessary.

I think there are some occupations where drug testing is really not that important. Most business owners don't want a heroin addict managing their establishment, but what's wrong with someone that smokes pot on their days off? Unfortunately it's usually 0 tolerance for any illegal substance.

Drug test are necessary for any work force. If you were to hire someone for your company would you want them to be on drugs at work? I know that I wouldn't want someone like that working for me. It makes the work place much more safe if you have drug tests for any work force.
