I do believe organization, influential ones, can truly help someone. It always makes me feel better to talk my problems out. Having trust in someone and knowing you can talk to them make it a lot easier to open up too. Usually, if some people have the same opinion or have gone through the same experience they are more comfortable and open up a lot more.

and I am wondering if the person who wrote this is is really a "loving friend" why did he/she sign it "anonymous" ? I question if some kind words from a faceless person maybe on another continent is going to uplift someone very much. I hope i am wrong, but I wonder if these sights and other "feel good" sites are really not much different from myspace or whatever and mainly places for people to find so-called "friends" who don't really care much about them, like i say, I hope i am wrong.

I really wonder if these groups are really helpful because there's only so much they can do from a distance . . . I think love needs to come from family and close friends. If your only in a internet group, you're going to feel the distance.

I never heard of TO WRITE LOVE ON HER ARMS, but I looked it up on the internet and think that such groups are great. I have never had a depressin problem, but it's nice to know such groups exist.

they definitely help. I think this question is sorta of a no brainer, really, because it's common sense that when someone can get support from someone else that they're going to feel better about themselevs and be less likely to hurt themselves--and less likely to hurt others too Id think.

I wouldn't know tell u da truth I've never had that problem, but I know people who have had this problem and they seem to be jus fine now. I guess the programs do work if the people who are hurting themselves stop doing it
