I am a female muslim and a strong believer, Islam teaches us that this life is a life of worship. We are placed on this earth in order to worship Allah and obey His command. During this earthly life we are subjected to a series of trials. We have the option of enduring these trials and conforming to certain laws, and our reward will be great in the next life, or we may decline to endure these trials and choose to not conform to the law, then we will be made to regret it in the next life. Unlike some other religions which claim that God entered in a covenant with a certain group of people and that this group is genetically better than all other human beings, or closer to God, Islam on the other hand teaches that no color, race, tribe, or lineage is better than any other. Islam teaches that all humans are equal in the sight of Allah and that the only thing that can distinguish them in His sight is their piety and worship.

"O humankind! Verily! We have created you from a male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that you may know one another. Verily! the noblest among you in the sight of Allah is the most God-fearing. Verily! Allah is The Knower, The Aware." The noble Qur'an, Al-Hujrat(49):13.

I'm a Christian so yes i believe in religion i think if more people believed in religion things would be different for them. not knowing or believing in the man who gave us life changes things for people.understanding and knowing god plays a big part in our daily life because when you have no one you can call on god and he will be there.I think religion should be exposed to everyone and anyone who doesn't part take in religion should because god is our SAVIOR.

I have always been raised as a Christian, and have had many years to ask questions and have come to the conclusion there is a God. Jesus didn't die at the age of 33 on a Cross for nothing. I pray for people who don't believe in God, they are missing out on so much. And just an F.Y.I......if God doesn't give you just what you ask for, you need to realize that some times unanswered prayers are for a best!!!!!

I am a christian. I believe that there's only one God. And I believe that with God all things are possible. God got me through some ruff and tuff things that have occured in my life time. I read the bible and I go to church on most sundays. I am not a what some people call a "bible thumper". I dont know everything in the bible but I do know there's one God and he is my savior.

Everyone believes in something. It may not all the same things but it's still something. I am a cristian and of course, i believe in God. I believe he has helped me through the good and the bad times of my life. I also believe he has a plan for everyone. I may not attend church regulary but i still strongly believe in him.

I would say I'm a Christian. I was born in an odd situation with religion, my mother is a Christian and my father had been Amish up until he was seven years old then he was converted to Menonite up until eighteen years old and he left the religion from there. Because of this I never was brought up to believe in one set religion but I do believe in Jesus and God but I honestly don't know the Bible like a lot of religious people do. My views have always been that there is no religion out there that is completely correct. Each religion has some of it right we just don't know what those things are, and as far as I see it, every religion believes that doing good gets you in to some kind of great place in your afterlife and doing bad gets you the opposite, so really we're all on the same page. Judgment, to me, is something very important that the Bible does state that we should not be doing to one another and it's something we do so often even without realizing it. Even including the strongest of religious people will judge a person on race, skin color, rich or poor. Maybe if we all tried to stop judging there would be more peace in the world than hatred

I believe in God, but that's about it. I don't follow any particular religion. I don't follow the bible as a literal translation either. My family never displayed their religious beliefs, and never went to church. To this day I still really have no idea what they believe in. All my religious beliefs I have are just what I have gained in life experiences so far.

I am a Christian and I strongly believe in God and Jesus Christ. I was born in Chicago, Il and was basically raised in church growing up. My first church was Lily of the Valley and my pastor was Mrs. Osbourne who I love very dearly. As of moving here to Champaign my immediate family and I started to attend a church called Greater Mt. Calvery and in the beggining everything was fine, I thought we had found a perfect church other than the one away from "home." Things at that Church started falling apart right in front of my eyes. Being as young as I was, there were somethings I should've not heard or seen. The biggest issue I had was about when the Pastor was sleeping with another church member other than his own wife. Not knowing how true this was I didn't pay any attention to it. The woman claimed to have had an affair with him was also our babysitter at the time. She was so sweet and nice in the beggining and spoke of God all the time so I really looked up to her. I heard her say many rude things about people and gossip and it kind of made me uncomfortable being around her. Not only that when I knew that she wasn't who I thought she really was, my sisters and I had to change to nights in daycare when my mom had found a new job so we had to eat, sleep, and bathe at night which was a little different to me. She was kind of mean in a way and was different to say the least. The night which was our last night was when she punished me for not eating her food. The food that was made I have never eaten and one that I still don't eat until this day which is pea's and mashed potatoes I have grown to like mashed potatoes though. She became so enraged with me and made me lay down while all the other kids stayed up and watched t.v. I think that she was maybe insulted that I didn't eat her food but if she would have let me explain I would have told her that type of food I did not like. When it all boils down after going through all of that I think that it's safe to say that they kind of broke my faith in the church, not in God but in the church. Now it is hard for me to want to attend any other church without feeling that everyone is a hypocrit, this problem I have is not new but had stemmed from then on. I would like to start going back to church but I would like to find the right one for me and my son.
