I've heard of two defintions of a ho. One is just someone with promiscuous behavior. The other is a prostitute owned by a pimp. Either way, the word "ho" gets thrown around so much, it's culturally acceptable to refer to any creature as a ho. I think females, more often then males, get called "whores". Although in this day and age, what male or female isn't whoring it up, just a little bit?
I have heard that what makes a ho is someone who gets paid for sex. The female sex is more likely to get called a ho. There is nothing wrong with being a ho but most people see it as just wanting to have sex. Most people do not see it as a job that more men and women seem to have these days.

I really dont know what a ho is, but I guess its someone who sleeps around whether it be for money or not. Ho's are mostly women, which I dont understand, because men do the same thing and it is okay for them but not okay for women.

What's wrong with being a "HO"? Are you serious? Let's just say we should all have pride and some class. Guys and girls can both be labeled as a "HO" as long as your out there doing things you know aren't healthy or classy. If you should happen to be in that caliber, I would appreciate not knowing of it. Gross.

It can go either way. Stereotypically women are referred to as hos but some guys have sex with as many women and women have sex with men. women are just stereotyped that way i guess

A ho would be a women (with or without pimp) that will sleep with anyone for money,crack,a ride someone thats not doing it on the street. women are more often considered ho's by far.
i think men and woman are all hoes in their own way. there are many different reason to why someone would suspect that you are a hoe.
the main reason is a person going around sleeping with any person with no condom. or just coming up to a person and being so blunt or just throwing yourself on someone.

To me what makes someone a hoe is when just about every weekend or so you see that person messin with someone different. Girls are called hoes more often. I don't think there is anything wrong with being a hoe if your getting paid for it, but now a days alot of girls are doing it for free! Being a hoe is also degrading.
Okay, there's a difference between hoes and hookers. Hos are not paid for sex, they have sex with a lot of poeple and most they probably don't even care about. Girls are usually the ones considered hos but guys can be too. Guys dont call each other that though. It's player or pimp, never a ho. When they can be considered the same thing. Most people only make a big deal out of being a ho because they don't like someone or they took their man or something like that. Sleeping around isn't a good choice though. You can get pregnant and even worse, you can get pregnant by someone who won't even help you with the baby. You can also get a STD and most of those you can't get rid of. Like AIDS, that's your death sentence right there, the only thing is you don't know how long you have.
