Drinking age limit

Law makers are considering changing the alcohol law, making it legal to drink befor you are 21 years old. They are considering making the drinking age limit 18 years old. What do you say about this possible change?

I do not think it is a good idea.Drinking at 21 for a lot of people is bad.Drinking cause family problems, health problems, even death in car crashes.I think passing a law to let 18 year olds buy beer will only make the problems worst.

Legislation can go out to change the drinking age, but it still doesn't solve the social difference between the drinkers and the drunks. In situations like this its all about the judgment calls. Some may argue about the impairment due to the drink, yet that still has no effect on the decision one made before they ordered the first drink. Europeans have had a lower drinking age than America, and yet they have kept lower percentages of drinking related deaths for decades. So the question later becomes; How do you fix the relationship between drinking and recreation? Sometimes this is an upbringing thing, how you were raised to determine right from wrong. Others its just merely knowing your limits. A single drink-with a meal- helps to incorporate the flavors and adds to the entire eating experience. Lowering the age required to give at establishments will help allow the young adults the full pleasures of the culinary arts. Most times one would not even go through a whole glass with a well prepared meal. The binge effect that American universities have is simply one where immature young adults basically go Woodstock, for lack of a better word. It's rebellious acts to show their primal unleashing into the world.

It's sad to think that legislatures would even consider changing the legal age from 21 to 18 with so much going on with young people drinking and driving. My only question would be is"What's their motivation behind this change?"

I think that if the drinking age goes down the driving age should go up. Yes i couldnt wait to be 16 and get my licenses but was i really mature enough to handle all that responsiblty. i do not think drinkin age should go to 18 because then that will mess with high school kids. not that they dont do it already.

The drinking age should be 18. If you are old enough to fight for your country, you should be able to legally drink. Most 18 year olds will find another way to get it anyways so why not just save people some trouble.

changing the drinking age isn't going to change the fact that kids are still going to drink. I hear a lot of people say if you can go fight a war at 18 why can't you drink a beer? regardless teens are still going to drink alcohol. it just depends on if you are mature enough to handle it.

underage drinking is very bad......yo i got a fake id though.

if you can go to war at 18 i think you ought to be able to drink at the age of 18.

i think if the drinkin age is 18 then the drinking problem would go down because teenagers think its cool to drink when their underage if the drinking age is lowered then kids wouldnt thinks its that cool anymore.

Didn't they do that once? People can join the military when they are 18, they can vote, they have many more privileges when they turn 18, so why can't they drink? Many people that i associate with usually drink before they are 21 anyway so why not just make it legal?

I think its a good i idea it should even be younger in other country where they drink when there are little they dont have as many drinking and driving acidents after you turn 21 its no fun anyways its only fun when you are under age.

I think the drinking age sould be changed to 18. it would cut down on accidents because it isnt cool for kids to drink when they are of age.

i think this idea is nuts because when an 18 year old get drunk they act like they are 14 and 15 years old again and will be more likely to do something very childish or very dangerous

this so far has been the easiest question. this is a good idea, all i have to say is we can go to war and DIE for our country at 18 but we can not legally drink at 18.

Kids are already drinking at the age of 18 or maybe even younger. I think that law wouldn’t change anything accept make it legal.

I dont think there should be an age on drinking because if there was not then kids would not do it as much because the main reason people drink under age is the rush of hidding it from their parent or the cops.

I dont think its a bad idea to change the law to 18 beacuse most people drink before 21 anyway.

Man!I want to say its a good thing....but in all honesty IT AIN'T! There are some people that will be responsible and be mature about the situation, BUT there are also people who are not responsible and would only be a risk to themselves and others. By the way things are looking now this generation is not ready for such a law at this time

i think putting an age limit on drinking wont stop under age kids from drinking they will still find a way to get some alchol and drink.

i would say no to the law. the reason is say no is because you know kids will show up to school drunk or nursing a good hangover. they would have something to look forward to and there high school grades would go down. sports rules would have to be changed but it might hurt the sports numbers. they can drink so they will. 18 is just to young

At 18 you can vote, are considered an adult legally, and can fight in a war to die for your country. So, why can't you have a beer after work.
