UUUMMM i have 3 children which two of them watch tv. They dont get influenced by what goes on but they are some that do. I think with having yours kids watch tv and such things all the time yes the tv would have a impact on life. More the less than kids that just watch catoons just for the colors or the amusement of the cartoons. But these shows is not what makes the child bad its the suroundings of there envoirment.
yes I do but its not the tv's fought or the internet's fought it's the parents job to control what they let their kids watch. Also they have to explain to them that it's jus a tv show its not real. Same thing goes for the internet, they should explain to their kids all web sites arent good websites. They should also remind them that websites have age restrictions for a reason.
Yes, I agree. I babysit for three children and they are allowed to (not by me) to play Grand Theft Auto and they watch age innappropriate programs which expose them to cussing, killing, and thievery. These children are ages; 7, 3 and 2. I believe that you learn from your environment and they internet and television are always on these days in many homes. I think we should monitor what games our children plays and what programs they watch and they definitely should have a parent in the room with them while they are on the internet - too many creeps out there.
I think so because almost every kid in the U.S. watches tv. a lot of what kids do is based on what they see when they are young. T.V. and internet can a very bad influence on little kids.
all kids do these days are watch tv and play on the internet. both have very negative influences on todays children. parents need to monitor the time and programs kids watch anymore. parents also need to put more blocks on the internet to prevent the material their children view...DAMN KIDS, NEED TO GET A JOB!!!

I think that there is shows on tv that kids should not watch and parents shouldnt let their kids watch. i know kids who have seen stuff on tv then go and try it or do it. so i think it could go both ways you have the kids in which tv has an effect on them then u have the kids who jus watch tv and doesnt have an influence on them
T.V. can be very influential on a toddler/ child. On halloween, children dress up on their role model or favorite cartoon character. Maybe their favorite person is 50 cent and they are going to bust a cap on someone. This is the parents resposibilty to control what their children watch.
When kids are young parent need to montor what kids are waching on tv and looking at on the internet when you get older let them have more free range but they have to learn what is right and wrong first.
yes children are like a sponges. they take in a lot and dont forget much of it. they do things the way they see things. tv and internet my be a role mode of a person if the parents are not around for the children. children will imitate anything that they think is fun,cool, or easy to do and remember like pointing a gun with your finger or the middle fingure. the parents have to control what the watch and do so they know what is good and bad. most shows have guns, swearing, and other things that they should not see when young
they do learn these things from tv and internet, but it is STILL the parents responsibility to teach their children right from wrong. if children understand and are more aware of what they are doing/saying then it'd be less likely for them to immitate.
I think children are just not raised like they should be, they should be spanked if they do something wrong not just put in a corner. so if a kid sees something and it makes him act up just tell them why it is wrong and they might eventually understand.
I think there is a lot of negative stuff on tv and children should not be looking at it, the reason why is up till the age of eight children observe and mimic everything they see.
Yes they are imitating things on t.v. and the question is are they watching the right things on t.v. The children aren't to blame for instance depending on what they watch like Blues Clues you hear them repeat and sing the songs that they like. If they are under people who watch music videos all day then they are going to want to rap and dress just like them because that's all they know. At their young age their brain is like a sponge and soaks up everything and does what they see. You think they weren't looking or paying attention but most of the time they are.
I absolutely belive young children learn negative things from the internet and tv. Baby imitate to learn, it's just what they do. The parents not watching and not deciding what they can do or watch is part of the reason they are learning bad things. Of course, one day they will learn it but it doesn't have to be so young.
YES I BELIEVE SO BECAUSE THE THINGS KIDS ARE SEEING ON TELEVISION AND INTERNET ARE EASILY TO BE INFLUENCED.BY CHILDREN BEING SO YOUNG THEY DO WHATEVER THEY SEE SOMEONE ELSE DO, NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE. I HONESTLY THINK CHILDREN SHOULD BE PROHIBITED FROM WATCHING HALF THE THINGS BEING BROAD CASTED.
